Before anything, I love this movie. But it does feel like the producers/director went, "we've got JCVD as lead, lets tone down the rest of the acting to match'

Some really great Van Damme movies are Lionheart, Death Warrant, Universal Soldier and Nowhere to Run.

Oh please please please go down a JCVD rabbit hole. Universal Soldier, Cyborg, Kickboxer, Double Impact, Timecop, Lionheart, Hard Target, Nowhere to Run, Death Warrant, Sudden Death...literally any movie from 1988 to 1995 will make me do a back flip. His peak as an action star was short-lived, but an absolute blast. He's no Arnold or Stallone, but he definitely has his place in that era.

This was a lot of fun. If the Kumite training methods were either drink beer or do the splits while tied to a tree I would just drink beer like Jackson:) Hard Target (1993) would be a decent Van Damme movie to check out. It has a good cast and was directed by John Woo(an influential Hong Kong film maker). It even has Sven Ole Thorsen in the cast. Double Impact(1992) you get double Van Dammage with this movie as he plays twin brothers:) Mortal Kombat(1995) it doesn't have Van Damme but it is based on a video game and seems like it was heavily influenced by Bloodsport and Enter the Dragon. It has some sweet music to listen to as well!

Greetings Carolyn Nanette, I’m here to tell you guys that I’m trying my best to still watch you guys fun reactions. As for this movie is not a true story; Frank Dux is a real person but he fabricated his life as the undefeated fighter fighting the secret Kumite Tournament. So now you guys know. John Claude Van Damme is my favorite martial art actor as for Arnold Schwarzenegger is for you guys for action actor. Hard Target, Universal Soldier, Timecop and Cyborg, Lionheart are my favorites.
