Featuring a very different kind of "Snow" for this time of year. 😆 Such a quotable movie in fact one of the most profanity filled movies ever , The edited for TV version is unintentionally hilarious😆 From one of my favorite directors Brian DePalma with the amazing Al Pacino Thanks N+C ♥️🖤

Michael Lynch

I see you there… you two are a couple of cockroaches.

Mark M

I can't wait to get home today and watch!

"the eyes, Chico, they never lie". I just finished watching and it was awesome 👌. Fyi. Oliver Stone wrote the screenplay but it was Brian De Palma who directed. He has a very distinctive style so im eager for you to watch more of his films. - I think Carolyn probably recognized Steven Bauer from his role on Better Call Saul as Don Eladio. - Another connection to the Breaking Bad world, Sosa's henchmen played Hector Salamanca. - not sure if you recognized Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio(Gina) you recently saw in The Abyss. - Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer reunited in 1991 for the movie Frankie & Johnny. A nice little romantic comedy directed by Garry Marshall.😊

Michael Lynch

I was wondering if you were going to recognize her. You didn’t. Gina is from the abyss. Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. She’s also with Kevin Costner in Robin Hood, Prince of thieves. Great movie.

I’m not saying every movie in December has to be Christmassy but Scarface?!?! 🥸 Christmissy? Christmasaye? Christmasseuse? Yeah Christmasseuse.

Jeremy V.

Christmasseusay?

Mr. Writhms

You ladies fly straight and you will last in this business! Expect a call from me at 3pm. 😁 Fun Fact: Steven Spielberg is friends with director Brian De Palma. He visited the set on the last shootout scene and De Palma recruited Spielberg to assistant direct that big final shootout. He was uncredited of course.

Bill Elliott

Amazing reaction guys, you had a full swing of emotions and your response to the chainsaw scene as was bad as I was afraid it was going to be, even my stomach turned the first time I saw this🤢. I’m on leave and I actually had time to finish the whole thing, normally I have to wait for the You Yube vid, where I think this will do well. I should point out one thing, this got ZERO Oscar nominations and was a box office bomb. Only over time did it become a cult classic and heralded as a classic. Great job!

Totally Whatever

I really can’t believe we didn’t recognize Mary Mastrantonio! I didn’t know it was her until I tagged her name in this post.

Totally Whatever

We didn’t! 🤦‍♀️ That’s a testament to her acting. Also…a good example of my poor facial recognition.

Totally Whatever

😆Well it tied in the YouTube poll, so we had to do it. Plus it’s a small break from all the Xmas movies.

Totally Whatever

😆🙌 Will do! That’s a real fun fact - of course he wasn’t given credit.

Totally Whatever

Thanks, Bill! That scene was brutal- still can’t get it out of our heads. 🫣

Bill Elliott

Saw it 20 some odd years ago, neither can I! Can’t wait to watch Muppets! My kids had it on a few nights ago, don’t light rat lol.

- That intro music is totally badass. I always start dancing and jamming to it. - Castro really crapped on us bad. Horrifying. So sad that Americans had to suddenly be witness to such awful Cuban drug crime in Miami. - I give you two props for immediately realizing how horrible Tony was. Many reactors don't see Tony as the awful villain he was, they go into the movie thinking of him almost like a protagonist. Tony Montana makes Michael Corleone look like a saint. - Yes, the comedian was played by real life actor and comedian Richard Belzer, who starred as Detective John Munch on NBC's Homicide: Life on the Street as well as Law and Order for many years. - That black and gold office is insane. I want that tub. - When Manny said "I got a date", Carolyn's eyes got so wide! LOL - Carolyn was so proud of her clock camera identification! - Wow you guys were so accurate about the marriage. Most do not think that before hearing Gina tell Tony. Good reaction!

Totally Whatever

We want the tub and that office! lol We thought that was Richard Belzer from Law and Order. Glad you enjoyed this one.

The true story series' "Narcos" and "Narcos Mexico" (3 seasons each) from Netflix are on point also the documentaries "Cocaine Cowboys" (2006), "Cocaine Cowboys 2" (2008), and "Cocaine Cowboys Reloaded" (2014), free on Plex, Pluto, and Tubi. "CC2" is also on Netflix.

In the year after the Mariel Boat Lift (1981), the number of rapes in greater Miami & Dade County doubled, with all of the additional cases having Marielitos as suspects. Miami was already suffering through a narcotics war between Cuban and Colombian traffickers, with murders having increased from just over 100 in 1976 to over 600 in 1980. In 1981 after the influx of Marielitos, that doubled to over 1200.

Another great reaction. I don’t really have much to say about this one but I do have some movie recommendations. Brian De Palma has been likened to Alfred Hitchcock, presumably because he did so many suspense thrillers. Personally, though I like De Palma’s work, I don’t believe he’s even close to Hitchcock’s level. Here’s some DePalma movies that I enjoy that y’all might like: Phantom of the Paradise - the best rock musical this side of Rocky Horror Picture Show Carrie - good adaptation of the book by Stephen King; not even a little bit scary but neither was the book Dressed to Kill - murder mystery starring Michael Caine and Nancy Allen (Robocop) Blow Out - John Travolta is a sound engineer for independent movies who catches audio of a murder; also highly recommend the even better Blow-Up, the Italian film upon which this film is based Body Double - thriller/murder mystery starring Melanie Griffith Carlito’s Way - De Palma re-teams with Al Pacino; Pacino plays a recently paroled ex-convict that’s trying to walk the straight and narrow Some good Michelle Pfeiffer movies: Into the Night - with Jeff Goldblum as a man suffering from insomnia; Goldblum gets in over his head when he meets a beautiful blond (Pfeiffer) that’s wrapped up in intrigue Ladyhawke - romantic medieval tale starring Pfeiffer, Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner) and Matthew Broderick The Witches of Eastwick - Pfeiffer, Susan Sarandon and Cher as three friends that are smitten by the new arrival in the neighborhood (Jack Nicholson) Wolf - Pfeiffer re-teams with Nicholson as a New York editor bitten by a wolf that undergoes a drastic personality change

Totally Whatever

We are becoming big fans of suspense thrillers. You didn't hear it from me... but Carrie might be coming up soon. ;)
