I'm so looking forward to finding some time to watch this reaction today! IMO, this film is one of those underappreciated gems that is so much funnier and more clever than the majority of comedies out there!

Harvey Lee

This is comedy gold , with a stellar cast I'm sure you'll find this flick side splittingly hilarious .😆 Can't wait for that scene where Otto(Kevin Kline) Introduces himself as Harvey Manfrenjensenden 🤣. Enjoy N+C 🤘

Oh, that's right! I meant to say, "Fantastic reaction, my friends!" The looks on your faces during some of those scenes! 🤣 So which is worse, Carolyn, having a giant tarantula crawl on you or being forced to eat an angelfish? 😁

Jon Goranson

Yay! I'm so glad you liked it! Thanks for sharing! I use so many lines from this, probably randomly. John Cleese and Michael Palin (Ken) were in Monty Python's Flying Circus. Iowa public television had that (and Doctor Who, and so many other British shows) on in the 70s and 80s when I was growing up, so they they definitely formed my warped sense of humor. As for other shows with Cleese, this might be only one he's a main lead. He's in a lot of ensemble things like the Monty Python movies. They did a sequel to this years later called Fierce Creatures. He has a part in Silverado, which Kevin Kline is in. He has a part in Erik the Viking. Kevin Kline is awesome! I highly recommend Dave!. Soapdish is fantastic with him! In & Out is great with him. He did a voice in The Road to El Dorado, which was fun. French Kiss is fun with him and Meg Ryan. Jamie Lee Curtis is great, of course! True Lies is awesome! Take care!

This is a really funny movie and there were some cringeworthy moments that made the reaction that much funnier. I immediately thought, oh no Carolyn and Nanette are animal lovers:O

Bill Elliott

Gonna have to wait for YT for this one, but this could be your gateway into Monty Python’s three films: “The Search for Holy Grail” 1975, my wife’s all time favorite “The Life of Brian”, 1979, and the reason why one of our old trash cans was a bucket, “The meaning of Life” 1983, “would you like a bucket sir?”

The angelfish, I gues,s because you’d have to eat it - oh my gosh!

Totally Whatever

We didn't realize they did a sequel. Is it any good? Thanks for all the Cleese and Kline recommendations.

John Cleese and Kevin Kline were in a Western together called Silverado. And the entire cast of A Fish Called Wanda returned for Fierce Creatures. Different story. Different characters. Same actors.

If you really want to see some good Kevin Kline movies check out 'Dave' or The Big Chill.' This whole gang got together again for another type Wanda movie, 'Fierce Creatures.'

I don't remember Fierce Creatures as much as I know A Fish Called Wanda. I would have to watch it again and let you know. I can't recommend Dave and Soapdish enough. Great movies with Kline!

I only saw this movie once about 4 or 5 years ago, so I figured I would watch it again along with you guys. I actually found it even more enjoyable than the first time I saw it. - Kevin Kline is absolutely hilarious. I started giggling almost every time he came on the screen. - The smelling of everything was nuts LOL - Your reaction to the crushed dog was hilarious. It was too funny to be sad so you had a unique reaction of shock and laughter LOL - The four main actors starred in the 1997 film "Fierce Creatures". It is considered a "spiritual sequel" to A Fish Called Wanda, but the only connection is that John Cleese plays a character who is supposed to be the twin brother of his character Archie in this movie. While not as good or memorable as this movie, I saw it once. Maybe it would be worth checking out sometime. - I also highly recommend the 1993 Kevin Kline film "Dave".

"Fierce Creatures" is considered what they call a "spiritual sequel" to "A Fish Called Wanda", but the only connection is that John Cleese plays a character who is supposed to be the twin brother of his character Archie in this movie. I am not even sure they explicitly say that in the movie. While not as good or memorable as this movie, I saw it once and I am all for watching it again. I also recommend "Dave".
