Wade Wallenstein

Wonderful film with some of the best Actors. You may recognize the Director as Spock from Star Trek! My Mother also loved Tome Selleck so we watched him in "Magnum, P.I.", Richard Burke on Friends, a series of TV movies as Jesse Stone from 2005-2015 and Blue Bloods. You should watch the movie "Runaway" for more Selleck. I know Steve Guttenberg from the Police Academy films, Short Circuit and Cocoon. Short Circuit is a definite watch! Ted Danson is amazing in Cheers! I've also seen him in Becker and The Good Place.

This is a remake of a 1985 French movie called "3 Hommes et un Couffin", which was itself a modernized remake of the American western "3 Godfathers" (1948) starring John Wayne, which was a remake of an older western "Three Godfathers" from 1936. The animated "Ice Age" (2002) is another version of the same story. Hollywood knows a good story when they steal it. :)

Harvey Lee

What a sweet comedy There's great chemistry between the leads Ted Danson from Cheers Tom Selleck from Magnum P I Steve Guttenberg From Police Academy ( another movie filmed in Toronto ;-) Directed by Spock himself from Star Trek Leonard Nimoy Great way to greet the day and greet the New Years Ahead ♥️🤗

I must have seen this movie dozens of times since I was very young, and until now, I never noticed that Tom Selleck was crying in that scene.

Great reaction! I chose this as one of my two poll options because I knew it was such an iconic 1980s movie that you would both love. I actually remember the very first time I saw this was on an NBC broadcast from around 1992. (I remember that in part because we had it taped on VHS from that TV broadcast for years). It is definitely in the category of being one of the earliest films I ever remember watching. - That apartment is insanely cool looking, but was a soundstage. The whole film is *VERY* 1980s. - As a 37 year old guy who does not yet have kids, that feeding time question is really important. That is the type of question that confuses men. Do we feed her every two hours from start or finish? LOL - Detective Melkowitz was played by actor Philip Bosco, a character actor I am sure you will see in many more movies. He had a small role as the Doctor checking on Winthorpe Christmas morning in "Trading Places". I should note, there is a sequel from 1990 titled "Three Men and a Little Lady" which stars all the main cast, and is quite enjoyable if you two are ever interested. I knew you two would fall in love with Mary and I am glad you enjoyed it!

Phew, glad you liked it! We absolutely adored Mary - and the totally 80s vibes, of course! Great pick, Mike.
