Itโ€™s Birthday Week for Nanette! Sheโ€™s picked a certified classic to celebrate: Mel Brooksโ€™ Young Frankenstein, starring the legendary Gene Wilder! It's no coincidence that it features one of Nanette's favorite comedic actors, Madeline Kahn. ๐Ÿ”ฉโšก๏ธ

Weโ€™re also serving up full-length reactions to the last of our Star Trek poll winners, The Trouble with Tribbles, and our Members' Poll winner, In the Line of Fire.

I think I know Madeline from Mel Brooks โ€˜History of the World Part 1โ€™.. Happy birthday Nanette!

Michael Lynch

In the line of fire is so good. Iโ€™ve never seen an older guy charm the ladies as much as he does in this movie.

Happy Birthday, Nanette! ๐ŸŽˆ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‚ This week, you get undisputed top billing over that little sister of yours! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Totally Whatever

Finally, a week that I get top billing!! She is always stealing the spotlight. lol

Totally Whatever

I just posted a picture in our movie chat of what I found on eBay!

David Zabel

If you also like Gene Wilder, may I suggest See No Evil, Hear No Evil with him and Richard Pryor.

Totally Whatever

We have that one on our list. We haven't seen anything with Richard Pryor on this channel yet.

I hope you and Carolyn enjoyed In the Line of Fire! I hope it was a good pick!

Byrd N. Hand

If you haven't seen Madeline Kahn's 2 movies with Ryan O'Neal and director Peter Bogdanovich, I'd definitely recommend both "What's Up, Doc?" and "Paper Moon."

Byrd N. Hand

I'd start with their first one together: "Silver Streak."

Byrd N. Hand

I don't like it as much as some of Mel Brooks' other films - particularly "The Producers" and "Silent Movie" - but, yeah, it's not bad. ๐Ÿ˜

Mike the Ginger

Agree with Byrd. The four they did together in order were Silver Streak (1976), Stir Crazy (1980), See No Evil, Hear No Evil (1989) and Another You (1991). Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor were great together.

Stevie R.

I highly recommend reacting to Police Academy (1984), Now and Then (1995), and Weekend At Bernieโ€™s (1989 I think) unless you have seen them.

Mike the Ginger

All good films. Weekend at Bernie's is actually one of my personal favorite movies.

I love Madeline Kahn in Betsyโ€™s Wedding โค๏ธ

Totally Whatever

Another one to add to the list! I haven't seen all of her films yet.

Byrd N. Hand

Yes, "Weekend at Bernie's" came out in the absolutely stacked summer of '89 -- perhaps the greatest summer for movies ever. Too bad they made a sequel where the whole premise just got plain ridiculous (it was already ridiculous, mind you, but it was well-done enough by all in the first one to sell it). ๐Ÿ˜•

Stevie R.

I personally like the sequel but I understand why some donโ€™t.

Mike the Ginger

Weekend at Bernie's is actually one of the first films I ever remember seeing as a kid, circa 1992. That could also be why it holds a special place in my heart.
