Mr. Writhms

Thank you for listing my pick! ("Silver Streak" with Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor-- a great comedy for the top 2 Gene Wilder fans! Not to mention Pryor is hilarious in it). I'm forever grateful! 😊

Flounder

I hope Steven Soderberg’s “Sex, Lies, and Videotape” can make your next poll.

Sam

Petersen was terrible in it.

Bill Elliott

Everyone they have got to do the UNTOUCHABLES! They are from Chicago! “That’s the Chicaaaago way”

Jeff Darensbourg

Instead of Howard’s End, please watch ‘The Remains of the Day’ from 1993 by the same director, starring Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson, adapted from a book

Harvey Lee

The Untouchablesis a must considering you're both from Chicago Kevin Costner and Robert DeNiro Plus Sean Connery in his Oscar winning role. Directed by one of my favorite directors Brian DePalma (Scarface) Now that's the Chicago way !

Harvey Lee

Manhunter was great and underatted It features the first screen iteration of Hannibal Lecter Played here by Brian Cox William Petersen is great in it (CSI) And the late great character actor Tom Noonan is the main villain .

Boris-N

Manhunter any day of the week..

Terry In the UK

Hmmmm, there's some exceptional choices there that have made it to the poll, and after a sneaky screenshot and zooming in on the wheel, there were some brilliant suggestions there too. I've found it difficult to choose between all this on the poll, but eventually decided to use my often used fall back plan of closing my eyes and prodding my finger at my phone screen to pick....on this occasion my finger chose Executive Decision but I'm going to be very happy with whatever wins from those in the poll..... great suggestions everyone 👍

Mark M

Some great movies on this list! I paused on the spinning wheel and some of the movies that didn't make the list look great also.

TWFanatic

Absolutely !!! (You can just drop me anywhere , I don't mess with the big M)

thansen

I haven't seen six of these movies. I've seen Silver Streak, Manhunter and The NeverEnding Story. All wonderful movies, though they could not be more different.

thansen

I love Petersen in this film. Stylish, pure 80s, great score and soundtrack. I actually prefer this film to Silence of the Lambs.

thansen

Love that movie, looks like it is going to win.

thansen

I haven't seen it yet so this would be a good excuse to watch it. Even though I cannot stand DeNiro.

thansen

I haven't seen Howard's End but The Remains of the Day is a wonderful film.

Mike the Ginger

Great choices and fun to do! I lean toward The Untouchables and Executive Decision, but they are all good!

FranciscoGios

Congrats for the winners of the famous Wheel of Fortune. 🫡

Alex Leach

And some pretty awful ones…

bahstuffandnonsense

Obviously I disagree (it was my pick), but only slightly, "The Remains of the Day" is an excellent film also. As is "A Room With A View" (1985), the other part of the Merchant Ivory triple crown, but costume dramas really don't stand a chance in a mixed poll. Fun fact: James Ivory is the oldest person to ever win an Oscar, he was 89 when he won.

Bill W

What's Up Doc? Is on the wheel 4x. I sense some collusion going on. Luckily, it didn't pay off.

Byrd N. Hand

Plus, they can finally watch the third "Naked Gun" movie once they've seen it.

REDR58

Nanette & Carolyn, if you do eventually watch "The NeverEnding Story" be sure to watch the roughly 90-minute long US/International version and not the German" version because they are quite different the US/International version was the one probably everyone saw in the US back in the day. The US/International version should be easily available on US streaming sites.. There is nothing wrong with the German version, but the US Version has a somewhat significant impact on US popular culture and is probably more meaningful in that way. Also important if you ever get around to watching the Netflix series "Stranger Things" as the US/International version of the NeverEnding Story is referenced there!

Mike the Ginger

Great movie, it got my vote. I love DeNiro as an actor, but Sean Connery steals the show in The Untouchables.

Boris-N

Yup, you right on the moneyy

Tim

Voting for the John Cusack movie "Better Off Dead" is also the Chicago way.

HeyHeyJK

It breaks my heart that Harold & Maude is in next to last place, but I wasn’t really expecting it to win, I just had to add it to the poll (maybe I was still hoping someone else would react to it after I recently watched Coby’s reaction). There are definitely other great choices in here but I’m gonna throw in my second vote for Silver Streak. Since they mentioned wanting to see Gene Wilder go a little crazy in Blazing Saddles, Gene and Richard Pryor is the answer and it’s an incredibly funny film.

Greg In East TN

This was from the TV show that made Robert Stack (Rex Kramer in Airplane!) a household name.

Alex Leach

Howards End is a wonderful film but I fear it will never win a poll like this.
