Long story short: two guys won, and neither of them replied.

This was very unexpected and voids the whole purpose of the event, which is to implement YOUR ideas. This shit must be fixed or there is no point of doing that.

#Problems with the current approach

In my initial post about the wheel, I simply presented my approach to determining the winners, stating it was the best I had, but without explaining how I got there.

Okay, let's take a step back.

I wanted it to be a separate thing, so making a new pledge specifically for that kind of made sense to me; basically a ticket. This way, you have fewer people participating, but each of them has a much higher chance of winning.

Then I thought to myself: wait a minute, if you are an active patron, why wouldn't you want to participate? Let's put everybody in!

(Just thought of this right now: this might work if you aren't subscribed, but if you are, this potentially breaks your current tier).

By adding everybody in, I overlooked one critical thing: people might be currently unavailable and/or simply don't want to participate.

Mixing everybody together lowers the chance of winning for people who are available right now and actually want to participate.

#Question

Now, how do you separate people who aren't available from the ones who are and want to participate?

The easiest solution that I can think of (without anyone spending additional money) is this:

You have to leave a like and a SPECIFIC comment under a given post.

What this does is:

Ensures you are eligible for rewards. If you can open a "paid members" post - you are.

Leaving a specific comment shows me that you are available and want to participate. Although liking a post doesn't adds anything new, why not toss that in as well? As we all know: bigger number, better person.

The final pool is smaller, thus your chances of winning are higher.

What am I overlooking this time? I can't see any obvious problems with the new approach.
