NOTE: This replaces last week's page. Mobile-friendly view below.

Last week, I posted the comic where Rose meets Nate for the first time.

There was a little confusion in the comments about what was going on, and while I did think it would have been OK to leave it as is, I started to think about what I could have possibly done to make the narrative more clear. As I was going to sleep, I had the idea for this comic, and it was too good to pass up.

This will now be the new Page 10. Last week's page will become Page 11 and go public on May 22.

I'm really happy with how this page came out. Not only does it put some separation between the mention of Steve's other roommate and Rose's dramatic entrance, it also shows Rose's costume change, it's a bit sexy, and it made me laugh.

This shows the value of this Patreon, and how much your voice makes a difference. Because of early update feedback from an awesome Patron, I was able to add some context to the story and make a big improvement to the comic before it went public.

I really appreciate it, and I'm super glad y'all are here!

Re-Tread

Last time, Nate made himself at home at Steve’s place.

Today’s Comic

Now, Aya gives Rose some parting words of wisdom.

“Also, aim for Steve’s car. He still owes me twenty bucks.”

Transcript

Rose (on the roof, putting on her purple shirt): Ok, I think I heard him come out. I'm gonna go say hi.

Aya (in the store room at Loco Mocha, looking at her phone with an unamused expression): Fine, just be careful up there.

Rose (grinning slyly): With the guy or the roof?

Aya: Both! But mainly the roof.

Rose (leaning over, pointing the front-facing camera at her backside): I'll be fine! I have a low center of gravity.

Aya: Good. If you fall, maybe you'll land on your butt.

Yooooo. I appreciate this. Never figured I was gonna have anything to do with the narrative or anything like that. Pretty cool.

Treading Ground

You made a real and permanent impact! After your comments I started thinking about how I could line things up better. I knew I had some room to work with if I went back to Rose and Aya, and then the pieces just fit together perfectly. I think this will read much better when people are binging it later on.

I like this. Gives us an extra page in the long run, and I'm not gonna say no to that! Also: gives us more Rose!
