Jingo Jungle is the name of the song used in the opening, it's made by the group Myth & Roid, they also made the song Voracity for the Overlord opening in season 3. This episode really shows how truly evil Being-X is, he/it truly doesn't care about human life, manipulating whole nations into a world war to punish 1 man who didn't believe in God.

This is the second time we've seen Anson Sue, he was the commander in charge of the detail that attacked artillery observer Tanya in the second episode and now he shows up again.

Tanya and Being X are pretty much the same they are only concerned with their own agenda and the people around them don't matter unless they are useful otherwise they are desposable.

SprinkleVerse

that was him!! I'm finding hard to remember all of the faces right now 😅 I just rewatched that part in episode 2, yes that is him! thanks for the reminder 💖

SprinkleVerse

ohh the opening name!! 😆 I love the opening the lyrics are crazy though haha 😂 YESSSSS exactly!!! from the start forcing Tanya to pray is just too pathetic really and now he is escalating it 😓 DESTROY HIM TANYA!!!!

SprinkleVerse

what you said is true for Tanya but I don't get Being X at all, what does he gain from having Tanya believe in him 😓

Sawahiro

This information is included in one of the earliest chapters of the manga, which was omitted from the anime. It's not a spoiler, but you can ignore it if you want. Being X uses Tanya to spread his name in that world, like an apostle. In the manga, as in the anime, most people see her as the devil, but the anime didn't show that those who haven't experienced her firsthand see her as a saint. That's how I see it. And maybe you'd like to check out the manga art, too. It's gorgeous, and some characters have different designs, like the mad scientist.

SprinkleVerse

@Tsukihiro omg really? an apostle? is that why he forced her to recite that prayer so his name will spread 😓 Thank you so much for answering my question! 🥰🤗

*heavy comment, feel free to ignore* What do you consider evil? Is it hurting people? There are a lot of people dying in this war, is it evil to continue the war? Or would it be evil to stop it, and waste all the lives already lost? Is evil acting coldly to human suffering? Certainly Tanya is very cold to everyone around her, and she kills without a second thought, but that cruel, pathological way of dealing with warfare is keeping herself, her Company, and maybe her whole country alive. Is it evil to act irrationally? Was it unfair that the Salaryman was pushed in front of a train by someone he had fired? The pusher was acting true to his emotions at least, and maybe there is even some justice in the heat of retribution. Is it evil to take away someones choices, even if you consider that you are doing them a favour? How far is going too far to save someone from death, from pain, from ignorance? Im sure Being X would have an interesting opinion. Are certain actions evil? Can they be done in a manner that is good? How is responsibility dealt out; to the commander? To the soldier? To the victim? Whose soul is most tarnished? I have no answers, but this show has a whole lot of questions.

"Jingo Jungle" is the title of the anime opening song. Like how the title of Overlord S3 opening is Voracity. "Jingoism" is an extreme national pride to the point of aggression or war. The title is saying that Tanya is in a "jungle" of war hungry people. In other words, she is surrounded by war.

SprinkleVerse

so that's what it means! thank you for the explanation! the lyrics of the opening for sure talks a lot about killing people and they see it as a competition or something 😅

Jesse

Getting the feeling being X gave that world a major problem by puttin Tanya into it such a shame but good content.

SprinkleVerse

lol that's true but also Tanya is suffering because of being X 😂🥹
