My favorite part of your Youjo Senki reactions is whether you can decide if Tanya is evil or not, it's like a rollercoaster 😂 Tanya tried so hard to make them give up and quit during her brutal training, but she ended up accidentally creating an elite unit of mages, so far every plan she has made has backfired 😅

This invasion on the South-Eastern front is an approximate mirror of the German invasion of Poland at the start of the Second World War. For various reasons, including recovery from the First World War and insufficient funding of modern aviation, Poland only had a 1 million strong army it could mobilise. In this battle, Poland deployed cavalry units and was overwhelmed. Following a Blitzkreig offensive, Western Poland was annexed by Germany. Also, talk about malicious compliance by Tanya in the delivery of the international code at the end of the episode.

this one gonna shock you. She IS putting on a voice... right up until she did that warning speech. The warning was spoke using Dakian (the anime didn't make this clear), which she isn't fluent on, so she was more focusing on that and end up using her natural voice there. That right, the voice we're all heard her till now is she putting on a gruff voice to NOT sound like a loli. Hence why she was kinda pissed when her guys thought she was putting on an act. Edit: I just remember, this wasn't the first time we hear her real voice, see episode 2 after credit, last few second. Also, she did purposely save the guy, because having new trainees and getting them killed during training is a very bad look. She just trying to get them to quit, not torture them for funsies. Also the people this time doesn't know what 'Heimlich maneuver' is (she got the snow that was choking him out, and they usually perform by hugging from behind, not a kick to the diaphragm), all they saw was her kicking a dead guy and him came back to life scare the bejesus out of them, which scare them from quitting.

The Dakian attack mirrors our WW1 When Romania joined the Allied forces and attacked Germany, their army was still geared towards fighting the wars of the 1800s and the WW1 trained German forces curb stomped them immediately. Victoria is an able, efficient and energetic assistant the worst thing that could happen to Tanya who was planning on hiding behind all the paperwork. US Seals in their boot camp have an intensive "Hell Week" to weed out the weaklings, Tanya put hers through a "Hell Month", and turned out her own Special Forces unit by accident.

Tanya wasn't trying to kill the soldiers, she was trying to push them to the edge so they would give up to her own benefit. Her reanimating that soldier with a kick is very much intentional. This anime takes place in an era with about 1930's technology and medical advancement, so most people aren't aware of the fact that you can reanimate someone. And even if they were, Tanya did it so effortlessly. She's very smart, probably studied up a lot on the human body since that also makes it easier to kill them efficiently. And she can also use that knowledge to potentially heal someone combined with her magic. And well, other than just having a large mana pool I'm assuming she can also use it more efficiently or smartly compared to most other people because of all of the knowledge she brought along from what she learned in her first life.

It is normal to be confused about her character. Tanya can both act like the most vile individual and a very respectable person. She does care for some of her subordinates but she obviously has a fucked up way of doing it. The thing to keep in mind is that rules and laws are pretty much absolute to Tanya. She isn't evil by motivation, but she will do anything she can within the confines of those rules to achieve her goals. Think of her more as a fucked up lawyer leading soldiers. Her sense of ethics is based on what is legally defined, so if doing something that seems evil as heck was the most efficient way of achieving an objective, she would do it if she could find a loop hole to not make it a war crime, otherwise she wouldn't.

haha yea I can totally see that rules are absolute for her 😂 I see as long as it is legal and within the laws she will do it no matter how evil it's looking. the thing is, whenever she has that evil smile she looks like she is committing a crime lol so it just makes me so conflicted about her 😂 Thank you for the explanation 🥰

Lol I see omg 😂 I did notice the soldiers were saying she is good at acting and she did seem not happy about it. ok that's good haha I thought she kicked him because she was being ruthless but she really was trying to help. I just get so confused with every action she takes lol 😂

hahaha it really is a rollercoaster she confuses me so much 😂 I can't tell if she is trying to help or trying to kill someone LOL lol yes totally that seems to be the case now, everything she does to get her out of the front line backfires and puts her in an even worse position 😂
