Re:Zero is finally here!!! (/≧▽≦)/What a brutal anime this is! Poor Subaru o(TヘTo) 😭 He can never catch a break! I think the brutality and intensity is just going to keep increasing as I continue watching. I couldn't stop watching one episode led to another hahaha and I can't wait to continue with the rest of the episodes! ヾ(≧▽≦*)oI hope you will enjoy watching it with me (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ) 💖

YESSS very excited for this one, Re:Zero and Mushoku Tensei are my two favorite isekai anime.

Kuro Neko

Finally!! The anime with the best character development. We don't focus on their strengths but their weaknesses. And not physical weaknesses... Subaru at the very moment he falls into another world doesn't react like a normal person. He's already in bad shape psychologically. To understand the anime, you really have to put yourself in the character's shoes.

Also everyone forgets he's still young at the age of 17 so yeah he'll be cocky at first but gets humbled and have to start using his brain more but he's still a teen with no life experience and to see him grow to the man he is in the later seasons is truly amazing.

Theron

So excited that you have started this show!

I'm so happy this show won! Welcome to my favorite anime of all time, I hope you enjoy it! Why Subaru said that he's probably from a small island nation to the east is because usually in games or anime, the Japan-like countries are usually situated in the east, just like in the real world. The thing I like about this show is how you can see characters from multiple different angles in the same or similar situations. Compared to normal anime where a character chooses to do something in a situation, here you can ask "What if it went like this?" and you would probably find out. I find that super unique. Not to mention the implied mental stress and suffering Subaru goes through because of what his ability is. It is also worth mentioning that there is a lot of content that is cut in this show's first season and there are things like Re:Zero Break Time that are intended to be watched alongside the main series, after every episode, but mostly they aren't all that important but they are fun watches (they are only about 5 mins per episode). There are also a few movies/OVAs that are intended to be watched between a few episodes but they are totally fine to watch after season 1 as well, before you start season 2. Definitely watch Memory Snow and Frozen Bond.

OnePieceMan

The director's cut adds/changes a little here & there and it's a bit more gory. And I do think for this show, that little bit of extra gore does matter. Anyhow, hope you enjoy this. This is among my favourite anime and I'd rank it as the best serious isekai myself (with Konosuba being the best funny one, but Uncle from Another World would probably beat it if it had more seasons. The comedy in both is great, but I'm a Sega fanboy at heart and the heart of Sega is strong in the Uncle show).

OnePieceMan

Well, he's not supersmart. A bit above average and he's also very emotional. But it takes skill to write a character like this properly though. I love Subaru as a protagonist, but there's so much that can go wrong not many can do it justice. For Mushoku Tensei the protagonist ticks all the wrong boxes for me though. It's like 90% well-written, but the 10% that isn't sticks out like a sore thumb.

Kuro Neko

Yeah, right. Almost every character in Rezero has a unique personality. Depending on the situation, they can make the smartest, most brilliant choice or the stupidest, most selfish one. And that's something you don't really find everywhere.

SprinkleVerse

So far I really sympathise with Subaru I think he just tries to be really positive and tries his best, things aren't going well for him no matter how hard he tries and that is so heart-breaking 😭 I can't wait to watch more and see how all the characters develop! (/≧▽≦)/

SprinkleVerse

It's been a lot of fun so far I'm really enjoying the anime. definietely very unique from everything else I watched! Thank you for pointing out the extra content! I will watch them before season 2 😉

SprinkleVerse

ohh so it's good that I'm watching the director's cut! I'm really liking it it's so mysterious and super filled with emotions 🥹
