Glad you enjoyed it (you tell those spiders Ron 🤣) this was actually the first of the movies I saw despite growing up with the releases because my mother like many others assumed that because it was witchcraft it was “devil worship” (she’s seen the movies now and loved them) but my dad let me see this in secret so while order of the phoenix (the one after next) is my favorite this will always hold a special place

I would say this is the point, where the series shifts to more dramatic and darker series for teenagers rather than story for kids it was in previous two books/movies. Except the finale, which still feels bit as let down due to the fact how well the series raises the bar with expectations on each subsequent movie. It is enjoying to revisit the series after while and see even some hints in this movie for what is going to happen next. Also Lupin is the most likeable among the teachers of Arts against the dark magic the series has imho.

Since you noted that the actor that plays Dumbledore is different and wondered why, unfortunately, the original actor, Richard Harris, passed away before the 3rd movie was made. The new actor, Michael Gambon, plays Dumbledore from here on out.

There's a part of this story from the books that was omitted which is a real shame IMO as its my favorite. The reason Sirius and Peter are animagus (people who can turn into a specific animal) which is a very painful process in the beginning was because of Remus being a werewolf. The shrieking shack was a house specifically for Remus to go to during the full moon but he would attack any humans. So James, Sirius, and Peter all became animagus so that they could go the shack with Remus so that he wouldn't be alone. Its been a long time since I read the book so if I'm incorrect somebody feel free to correct me but that's what I remember. (James btw could turn into a Deer)

Dunno how Harry got away with practicing Lumos Maxima at home, but the moment he accidently blows up his aunt he gets a telling off from the ministry considering he was on his last chance. Also It is hilarious how bad child safety is at Hogwarts 😂

A bit late to the party but I wanted to add that the reason Lupin knew what the Marauder's Map was is because he is one of the creators of it The Messrs: Moony (Lupin), Wormtail (Peter Petigrew), Padfoot (Sirius Black), and Prongs (James Potter)
