I'm also sorry ahead of time to anyone reading these long ass comments lol I'm not sure how well it's explained in the recap you watched, but it wasn't really mentioned in the anime, but Subaru needs to be in physical contact with Beatrice, otherwise he'll basically die due to mana poisoning after a month or so. He broke his gate by using too much Shamac and so he can't release his mana normally anymore, so Betty has to absorb some from him instead to keep him alive, it also helps Betty use magic. To remind: Od = a bottle for mana in your body, gate = the bottle neck to let mana out. The Sage who sealed Satella alongside a hero and a dragon is apparently still alive. I remember thinking that Flügel the Sage, the one who grew the giant tree that crushed the White Whale, was maybe one of the three that sealed Satella, but they say here that the sage's name is Shaula. It's also mentioned that the Pleiades Watchtower is built to guard the sealed Witch of Envy, which is pretty scary. Pleiades is also the name of a cluster of stars in our world, interesting that the naming keeps referencing stars here just like it did with all the Archbishops. Echidna took over Anastasia's body and is writing her own consciousness over Anastasia's, meaning that the Ryuzu that we saw in season 2, that had Echidna's voice, could also be going through a similar thing. Echidna here says that she's an artificial spirit, that would make her like Beatrice, as Beatrice was one too. That begs the question, when Lust was talking about wanting to get the artificial spirit back in season 3, was she talking about Echidna or Beatrice? Apparently while Subaru and others were away in Priestella, there was a meeting with the "frauds", it should be translated as "swindlers". Back in season 3 it was briefly mentioned that Roswaal would be meeting some merchants or something similar to that, so that's why he didn't come with Subaru and others to Priestella. The "fakes" is just a bad Crunchyroll translation as always. They mess up often. Meili wasn't an archbishop, she was an assassin hired by Roswaal alongside Elsa to attack the mansion in season 2. In season 2, when Garfiel was fighting Elsa, she was about to be crushed by some falling rubble, but Frederica saved her and ran off with her. We can imagine that she was locked up after everything was resolved. All in all, it's great to see Julius and Subaru actually get along more, I feel like Subaru is warming more up to accepting him as a friend. I think Subaru is just being a tsundere about it. Garfiel really did need that weight off his shoulders and I'm sure he feels like Rafiel and Fred can both live the normal lives he and Frederica couldn't. ohh that's news to me about Subaru needing to be in contact with Betty always! now I understand why they are always holding hands. reading these comments is helping me remember some events hahaha thank you for that!
