Interesting fact about Meili's backstory: She might not have been intentionally abandoned by her parents. In episode 15 of season 3, one of the Gluttonys, Lye Batenkaitos is fighting Otto, Gaston and a group of the Priestella guards. The leader of the guards is Dynas Trasaldi. In the episode, Lye eats the memories and name of one of Dynas' friends, and he begins taunting Dynas using the knowledge gained. The sentence that instantly triggered Dynas went: "It's not your fault you couldn't protect Miriam and Meili. It was just a stroke of bad luck." So it would seem that Meili is somehow connected to Dynas, maybe she's even his daughter, and something happened to her prior to ending up in the forest. The books of the dead offer so much lore potential. I mean, there are so many characters we could learn things from. The witches, Theresia van Astrea, Betelguese, Regulus, Elsa... Hell, considering Subaru died like 20 times, maybe he's got a book for every death? Although, whether that is the case would depend on how the Return By Death actually works. As for Satella, I don't think she has a book. She's technically still alive, just sealed. It's quite suspicious how Echidna kinda guessed that the tower has some secret rules. Even though she explained what she is, and she doesn't seem like a threat, she sure is hiding something. I didn't get to talk about it under the 1st episode, but I have a theory. Sincee her name is Echidna and she's an artificial spirit, and we know Beatrice was created by the original Echidna, it's safe to assume Foxidna was also created by her. Why? My guess is, it's one of her experiments with immortality. She tried with Ryuzu clones, she tried with soul transcription, which Roswaal later mastered and used on himself. Maybe she wanted to put herself in an immortal spirit? OMG, I just noticed the content drop! I am binging all the reactions today! Thank yu, Sprinkle!

I definitely didn't expect a Typhon backstory. It's interesting to see how she and her crazy power came to be, now I just wonder how she was imprisoned in Priestella. Also, I have to have an obligatory pride mention in relation to Subaru and how he managed to find her book out of every other book there. We've had a lot of connections to Typhon and the Witch Cult's seat of Pride thus far, very suspicious. What an interesting library though. There's definitely a lot you could learn here about the dead people you have met. There's plenty of people that we could learn about, Witches for sure, but also mother Fortuna and other important people around everyone else. I wonder if it applies to people you've personally met or is it actually just people you know a lot about. Would it be possible for Anastasia to read about someone like Hoshin of the Wilderness for example? I'm guessing not, but there definitely are a lot of possibilities here. I also didn't expect to learn more about Meili, but it is nice to know more about her if she's going to be traveling with us for the foreseeable future. Also, Subaru couldn't search for Satella's book, as she's not dead like other Witches, but then my question would be how was she in the Echidna's death realm? If she really had a split personality, would it make sense for one of the personalities be dead, sealed in Echidna's death realm thing and the other stay in the actual body of Satella and then that was sealed away? I really wonder how it works. I do feel a bit sus about Shaula talking about the 5th rule and saying that there isn't one, but she did say that she wasn't lying. I guess it must have been because Anastasia mentioned that there might be five of the rules she has to follow. I guess we'll find out eventually. Also, the way they seemingly keep hammering on how dishonest and mean spirited the person who made the tower was, is kind of suspicious to me. I feel like they wouldn't keep mentioning it over and over again this much if it didn't matter in some way. In the last episode we also saw Shaula call the hero and the dragon "Reid the stick swinger" and "Volcanica the sarcastic". I guess this means that the person in front of Subaru would then be Reid, even though we already saw them discuss the fact that Reid has been dead for years now, as he was a human. This would also explain how Shaula reacted to his presence. So how is he here? Is he in the sword or somehow connected to it? There is also the possible connection to Reinhard's sword, Dragon Sword Reid (I wonder why it's also called Reid?) and the fact that the sword is in some way able to "choose" who it considers worthy. I also think it's probably important to keep in mind the fact that Reid was alive long time ago, Emilia looks like Satella and how Reid here comments on Emilia's appearance and how she looks "radiant". How will this be important? Who knows, but it seems like a line that wouldn't be a throwaway line. It's also worth mentioning that the first test seemed to have been Flügel's test, as it was connected to the knowledge of the modern world's stars (regardless if Flügel was Subaru or not) and the library, this one is connected to Reid and the tower is basically a seal for Satella. Would this mean that if there's any other test after this one, it's connected to Volcanica as these 4 characters seemingly were in the middle of everything that happened 400 years ago. Also, if you got any questions about anything that I'm talking about, or can't remember a specific part in the past, I can explain it all.

oh wow I don't remember the mention of Meili in that episode at all!! 😲 Thanks for all this info! 🥰 And it just doesn't make sense to name another character Echidna when we have a witch by that name that caused a lot of trouble, I think it's too convenient to be a coincidence, your guess might be right!! YESSS!! I wasn't planning on binging the remaining eps myself but I couldn't stop myself hahaha 😂

I didn't know that Satella wasn't dead but sealed, I thought sealed meant she was dead 😳 Thanks for clarifying that 🥰 Yes so true! subaru keeps dissing the maker of the tower, in Re:Zero not a single line is said for no reason, I learned that 😂 You brought up very good points! I hope my brain can store all this info lol. So Reid was mentioned as stick swinger in the previous episode! I totally missed that (I'm just too bad with names 😭) Thank you for all the info 💖
