My brain was too fried to think clearly I thought Subaru entered another room when he left the tower at the end 😂 I CAN'T THINK STRAIGHT ANYMORE!!!!!!!🫠🤯

OMG, I can't believe you noticed that line when Subaru was falling down! With the gruesome scene, so many people miss it, because of shock. You're actually the only reactor I've seen notice that! This episode made me feel so sick. I've never felt this bad for Subaru. All of his resolve is gone. He's just an innocent, naive 17-year-old kid again, having to go through a much worse start than he originally had in the capital. I have one thing to say to the people who were complaining that season 3 had too little suffering: Screw you. I hope you're happy.

I really like to see all the throwbacks to previous seasons and comments Subaru has made in the past, things like asking for Emilia's (and now also Beatrice's) name and saying that Ram turned his name into a spell by having it be twisted like that. I really feel bad for Julius (I feel like I've been saying this every episode now), the only person that truly remembered him has now lost his memory. What a horrible day for him. And of course, we can't forget Rem (no pun intended) but now the only person who remembered anything about her is also gone. I'm glad you noticed that Subaru used to call Emilia "Emilia-tan" instead of "Emilia-chan". As discussed very early in season 1, it's something like a pet name and how Emilia described it to Regulus in season 3, she understands that when he calls her Emilia-tan, it's more playful and friendly, but when he just calls her Emilia, she knows something serious is going on. Emilia-chan is more distant and so Emilia feels sad about it. I wonder who pushed him, but even more so I'm more surprised how interesting him re-discovering his powers and everything around him (just like in season 1) can still can be. You'd think it would get old if the show did the same thing over a few times, but of course, the one really strong advantage Re:Zero has over most other shows is the fact that you get to see the different outcomes based on all the differences in each loop. That's what keeps this from feeling boring imo. He also passed out before he reached the floor when falling the first time, since he threw up, choked on it and passed out, so he didn't at first register it as a death but a dream. If there's anything different in this situation from season 1, it's that he didn't experience level 1 death of getting stabbed or something, but he literally fell hundreds of meters with his limbs getting torn off or having his heart be played with while he was already mentally destoryed by having been seemingly betrayed by his friends or people close to him and not having memories of getting that relief of closure from the trial in season 2. This is like starting a game and you're already in the final level of the game. This is just too brutal. To top it all off, back in episode 5, Shaula did list off the rules for the tower and one of them was that if anyone left the tower she wouldn't show any mercy in killing them. He went outside. I truly wonder if there's a way for Subaru to get his memory back. I feel like there's probably no way any book would do this to him, unless it's his own book. It doesn't make sense for reading someone else's memory to wipe yours. So my guess is that reading your own book would cause that to happen and that could only happen to Subaru (since nobody else can really come back to life, maybe with the exception of Pandora and such). So if that was true, I can imagine that reading it again would restore his memories. Also, since Subaru lost his memory, he can't read anything in this language, so he wouldn't be of any use in searching for his own book (as the text is in this world's language), so if someone does discover his book (if it actually exists), they could probably read it and gain the knowledge of Return by Death and everything Subaru has been through in this world (if it was the book that did this to him, since he returned to the convenience store point with his memory, it would make sense that the book only has memories of this world from him).

do you know who said that line? it didn't sound like anyone I know, but then again I'm bad with voices 😅 I totally feel you, this is way more painful to watch than when I first started the show. 😭

ohhh that makes sense! I was wondering why he thought it was a dream and not dying. thanks for clarifying that I totally missed that part I just was so horrified by what was happening to him 😭 wow ok I couldn't think of what the book he read could be about but you have a point here about reading his own book. someone just mentioned also what if there are multiple books for Subaru for all the deaths he experienced. but I still don't understand why that would make him lose his memory and gain that monstrous personality it's like he was possessed by something.

I do. It is a character we’ve already met, but they appeared really briefly, so I wouldn’t expect anyone to recognize the voice. I only know, because I read the novel. But I’ll leave it at that. It should become clear in a few weeks.
