The big robot made of several vehicles, called Devastator, is still one of the most complicated bits of CGI for any movie ever made. It had over 80,000 moving parts, and rumor had it that just loading the model would cause computers to overheat or even melt. Animating one frame took dozens of hours, and considering most movies are in 24 frames per second, it would take weeks to animate and generate just 1 second of footage of the character. They were absolutely pushing the limit of what could be created at the time, even with powerful computers.

OMG! 😱 that's crazy! That is a lot of time!!! I wanted to know how they make those robots! Thank you for sharing that. 😆🥰

Ahhh let's go!! Rest in peace Peter Cullen😢 (voice of Optimus prime). Also 8:20 "damn I'm good" sideswipes my favorite lmao😂

RIP Peter Cullen, he gave us many voices like Optimus for 40 years. He gave him so much life and character. These are a nostalgia trip. Makes me want to watch the OG animated Transformers and Transformers One animated movie 2024.
