Hello, Patreon family! Please enjoy my detailed analysis of the Apothecary Diaries Season 2, Episode 11. This HAS to be the 🐸 episode, right?!?! What an amazing episode with symbolism, thrill, and Maomao ever getting closer to Jinshi's true crown prince identity. But, for real though, this has to be the 🐸 episode...

My main takeaways from the episode

1) We all have our waterfall moments, which symbolize abrupt transitions and fearful changes, but if we are willing to take that plunge and leap of faith, there is often a surprising way out

2) I don't know which was steamier, the cliffhanger at the end with Jinshi and Maomao's intimate skinship moment, or the waterfall itself

3) I don't know how this is possible, but the series is getting better and better toward the second half of the season

I love your yapping man, so interesting! The mask is to hide his position as Rear Palace manager. Imagine if the word came out who Jinshi really is. Or that a man with a PP is overseeing the rear palace. That's a huge political scandal, I'm sure Jinish would rather avoid. We also got both Chekhov's gun and waterfall!

To have the ability to stop here and not go straight into the next episode is something we need to examine lol. 🐸 . There is just something truly special with this show that needs to be examined. Like I have mentioned in the past and I see now that I upgraded to the Patreon that you are taking notes of people that you get to become more invested. By the end of Season 2, you will be full white board, and be like ok I need all the mangas, the light novels, anything and everything with this show and Season 3 can not come fast enough! My only hope is that we get the movie around the same time here in the US as they release in Japan because I NEEEEDDD it! (btw on Youtube and discord my name is drusilla913)

I meannnn we did tell you to be prepared for the frog lol. And that you will know exactly what we mean when you get to that scene lol. I don't understand how, but it still gets better from here. And be prepared to use the meme of EMOTIONAL DAMAGE that you will have by the time the season is done.

There is only 2 shows that I have ever come across that hold this amount of a choke hold on me because you feel every single emotion at some point. They have you so invested in the characters and what will become of them. While there is people starting to get on the Apothecary Diaries train it's hard to explain to people what makes a show like this or Arcane so different and so top tier of storytelling . There is a lot of shows out there but the sheer amount of storytelling in layers that they do. The perfect music that sets the scenes, the small details that you don't realize at the time are easter eggs for bigger themes, the symbolic representation of things. It has meat and depth to it and is more than just pure entertainment for entertainment sake. (Sorry for the long winded yapping lol).
