I thought very few of the men (of which there were so many) could generate realistic chemistry between each other, while all the women (of which therr were very few entire damn film) basically carried every scene they were in and were generating enough chemistry for their scene partners. The surprising exceptions were John Leguizamo (by whom I shouldnt have been surprised how well he does in a period piece because he ruled in Moulin Rouge, and Romeo and Juliet), and the chemistry and friendship between Tom Holland and Jon Bernthal (who must have just so much chemistry from playing Spiderman and Punisher). Other than that, the movie was fine lol

I would like to add that the other guy that played mr noodles was the guy who's head went aflame in the green mile. Which was a weird connection to make as a child.

Had to immediately rush here after the John Leguizamo mention. My friends and I had a debate on who the most underrated actor is, and I argued for Mr. Leguizamo. To Wong Foo, Romeo+Juliet, Carlito's Way, John Wick, Moulin Rogue, Encanto, Ice Age, etc etc

I quite liked the Odyssey, despite being Greek (which generally primes one to be critical of hollywood remakes of Homer's works). Leguizamo delivered an excellent and tender performance. The one thing that bothered me was that some parts of the story, that I assume were omitted for brevity, would have put a stronger focus on hybris, which is a critical aspect of the story.

I really resonated with Erin's, "you used to be parodying 1% of the population but now it's a lot of you guys" comment. I think recent changes/events unfortunately has made some genres of jokes about women feel a little too real
