After sealing the deal with Fan Yunfei, Gusttave and Huohuo went looking for Li Xueyang.

Heartbroken, she took her treasure, the Tiangang Frost Jade, and went alone to hunt down the Snake-Haired Fire Princess.

In her haste, she mixed up one of the Tiangang Frost Jades with a jade plaque her subordinate had carved.

Still, Fan Yunfei arrived in the end, and the two of them joined forces to defeat the Snake-Haired Fire Princess.

Fan Yunfei did eventually win Li Xueyang's hand, but the misunderstanding the Old Fox Emperor had caused was never resolved.

Li Xueyang stared hard at the Old Fox Emperor standing before her with his head bowed, his fox ears drooping like two withered leaves. Then she turned to Fan Yunfei, who stood ramrod straight at her side. Her mind kept replaying the truth Gusttave had just told her.

Ninety-nine days of wind and rain, a desperate fight to the death on the last day, and a misunderstanding that had stood between them for years. From start to finish it had all been this old father's well-meaning blunder.

It wasn't immortality, but for the two of them it was more than enough.

After reclaiming the yao power from Li Xueyang, Fan Yunfei's strength returned to its peak.

His vast yao power surged straight into the heavens, and everyone within the Circle saw it.

From beyond the starry sky, the view showed every grain of sand on the entire planet, inside the Circle and out, drifting of its own accord toward Fan Yunfei's position.

The scale was so immense that it blanketed an entire continent.

Because of the invasion by creatures from Beyond the Circle, the laws inside and outside the Circle differed slightly, and beings of the Circle couldn't command the Power of Heaven and Earth out there.

Now, after many years of effort from every side, the Origin-Breaking Plan against Beyond the Circle had achieved enormous success.

In the original story, all the factions combined had managed to seize only 19.04 million square kilometers of territory.

Now Communist Interastral alone had taken a full 26 million square kilometers.

Add the territory taken by the four great yao nations of Tushan, the Western Regions, Nanguo and Beishan, and the land from Beyond the Circle now under the Circle's control reached a staggering 46 million square kilometers.

Together with the Circle's own area, that came to 55 million square kilometers in total.

That was equivalent to the entire Eurasian continent lying under the Circle's control.

Once Gusttave took hold of it, it would surely give him no small boost in strength.

Whether on land or at sea, any creature from Beyond the Circle fell within the scope of the purge.

The only pity was that Gusttave never found any trace of Phantylia, and so couldn't capture her.

What Gusttave didn't know was that Phantylia had long since left this planet. She had gone to the world beyond that spatial passage, and she was doing splendidly there.

The days slipped slowly by. Gusttave shuttled between Tushan and Nanguo.

By day he worked in the lab with Yukong on their research, building up their affection on the side, while also getting lovey-dovey with Lan Yan and Yaoguang in the most shameless broad-daylight fashion.

At night he returned to Tushan to do great battle with the three Tushan sisters and the Dongfang sisters.

In the blink of an eye, two hundred years had passed.

By now Gusttave's firmament no longer covered just half the planet. The entire planet lay under his protection.

The regions he had originally marked out now teemed with vitality, a realm where all things flourished at once.

Even the two continents that hadn't been marked out originally had been reshaped into environments suited to human habitation.
