I am so looking forward to this one! I love BoatOat and I think this will be WAY BETTER than Desire.

I wasnā€™t the biggest fan of ABO Desire (donā€™t hate me šŸ™) but this looks really interesting. Iā€™ve been trying to understand the oat situation so didnā€™t immediately check this out. I still havenā€™t found a clear view of whether what he said was bad or not because I think tone and context matters. Hoping this project doesnā€™t get derailed though. In terms of plot vs shmexy stuff, I actually felt intrigued by this world and their relantionship so I'll be curious to see what the series is fully about. If you've seen My Stubborn BoatOat certainly do lean into the shmexier stuff and in my opinion their chemistry is so good I guess I understand why they play into that, but I hope there is a balance of that with a good plot. We shall see šŸ™Œ

Quick note regarding that censor blob before the shot: it's because the YouTube version of the teaser is slightly censored. There is actually a gun there. The uncensored versions with the gun and slightly more extended spicy scenes is on Twitter and Instagram. Also re - what Knot seems to be doing: Whoever wrote it seems to be mostly going for the very classic tropes of classic omegaverse, aka its roots in fanfiction, which also tends to be much more about the couple in question and their story first before telling an overarching story that is secondary also an omegaverse story. Given that this is BoatOat this and that it's very sexual (which honestly, omegaverse in fanfics often is) I am not surprised much at all here. What it's doing is establishing the genre further. And then in the future we might get shows that go story first, omegaverse only as secondary genre, but that will only be when omegaverse has established itself as a general genre. I am not sure if that will really ever happen, but maybe we're gonna be lucky.

They had a show that ended within the last month called My Stubborn (very nc17) which was goodish I love them as a pair they have great chemistry, I think that show did them a disservice because it didnā€™t have much plot at all. I think Knot will be better. I think the conflict with Knot may be something related to family businesses and such, at least thatā€™s what I could see being most likely but I could be WAY OFF base on that. I really enjoyed Pit Babe a lot. Season 1 was interesting and kept me engaged but season 2 was just kinda meh for me. I watched the first episode of PavelPoohā€™s new show called Goddess Bless You From Death. I have pretty high hopes for it.

Iā€™m not sure on what was said exactly, it did seem like Oat was trying to describe what Omegaverse was and maybe it came across a little insensitive but I donā€™t think he meant any harm of course

I havenā€™t seen any Stubborn though. I know they have great chemistry together. Iā€™ll be interested to see the reception once itā€™s out! I think your thoughts towards Desire is valid. I personally enjoyed it except the rushed ending for both couples but I understand as well!

Yeah that's what I took from it but there is as always a lot of discours online so it's hard to pick out what's right especially if it's not in your first language. I am a big fan of these two so I hope this project continues. Their chemistry was crazy good in My Stubborn (although plot very lacking) and this seems like a great series for them. If you ever do watch My Stubborn I suggest not watching it with anyone else around at all šŸ¤£

This makes complete sense! Thanks for this comment. ABO Desire was my first time ever hearing about Omegaverse. I was intrigued at the idea and interested to see more. I think as a genre it has some great potential. Itā€™s new and fresh and not the same ole same ole.

Yeah, I absolutely get that. I am very curious how close Flow is going to stick to their Pilot vibes. With gmmtv we would at least know that 3/4 of this is just vibes with very slight story bits and the end result might be wildly different. But with Flow? Who knows. If they stick to this I would guess the conflict is going to be largely interpersonal and this whole matter they already brought up regarding Nakhun's family (or mostly his dad) mostly just tolerating Phatsa around for the sake for the sake of Nakhun not dying. There wasn't any hinting in that direction in the trailer but a classic trope for that would be that his dad could expect Nakhun to only keep Phatsa on the side and take a more prestigious/in the father's eyes more "proper" official spouse. But this is just guessing. But more than that it will probably be the conflict directly between Phatsa and Nakhun that we already saw in the Pilot, with Phatsa saying that he was happier before he got together with Nakhun, and that he seems to doubt Nakhun's emotions to be genuine. Depends then all on how well that is done script and acting vise if it will make for an interesting storyline on top of fun to watch. Because very honestly, noone watched My Stubborn for the plot.

This pilot was probably the best help MFlow Entertainment could offer their actor. Now Oat can hopefully return to normal and be the same carefree young man so many of us love.

In BL it absolutely is. In fanfic, it has a long long history and tons of lore from the interesting to the bizarre (like - there was an omegaverse lawsuit about bad straight omegaverse). Also on top, from what I know the fanfic roots of omegaverse and the way it seems to be commonly written in BL novels have some differences. For example, enigmas and this entire rank stuff is specific to BL. In fanfic the rules generally depend a LOT on the individual author. And Knot specifically seems to be leaning more towards what I know from the fanfic side of omegaverse, at least in terms of tropes used. Although I would guess they will merge a lot of elements from both sources. But yeah, overall, lots of potential for new ideas, but it definitely takes some guts for film studios to pick up, simply because of some of its elements. I suppose if gmmtv announces an omegaverse show without making it more tame than Pit Babe, then the genre will actually have fully arrived to stay.

Idk I don't really have hope cuz I have up on my stubborn cuz the plot was literally nc snenes and that really it cuz the plot was the teach him sexual stuff basically so that was annoying cuz it literally was the plot and it didn't really ahce anything story wise for em going for it so I gave up on it maybe this one will be slightly better cuz there a plot of Omegaverse it they don't go easy on the nc scenes usually so idk if the it will ahve plot armor as well I hope so unlike my stubborn which I didn't enjoy at all for the plot cuz there was none at least to me

I was actually thinking of the enormous stress Oat was under after his live broadcast and the complaints that the company hadn't provided him with enough support. I think the pilot for Knot was a welcome distraction from that nonsense and that MFlow E did it on purpose to help Oat. Perhaps it's because I read the book to "My Stubborn", but I belong to the minority who find that the story as a whole was much more profound than the nc scenes alone, and that Boat did a good job portraying Sorn's narcissistic and emotionally disoriented character.

As an avid reader this plot makes compete sense to me. The thing is I feel the plot will be romance. I know people donā€™t think romance is a plot but it is in bl genre. The big issue that I think will happen cuz it is a romance plot (I think) : 1) bonding-did they want to bond? Often time in the genre they donā€™t get to pick their partner and it decide by fate creating issue. Also make one question rather love is real or not. Then sometime you are in love with someone else and bond to someone else and bond are forever. Most case you canā€™t undo it. 2) omega treatment: I donā€™t know how deep they will go but the issue of omega is always an issue. Many books and manga often say they are treated badly, lowest rank in society, and arenā€™t given many choices. In some case they arenā€™t even allow to work. Oat character will have to decide if boat is worth loving if he treat him as an equal, deal with society treatment of him in this new world, and accept his role as an omega. Most people donā€™t want to be one. This will create a lot of conflict if they go down this route. 3) the last possible plot device would be that they want a better omega for boat character as in these genre the rich family always feel they need a higher quality breeding omega for better gene and such. Again bonding is for life so it add to the drama.

I think this will give us everything ABO Desire couldnā€™t because of censorship, but also because the acting in that one was so wooden, it was hard to watch for me. At least we know Boat and Oat have chemistry šŸ¤©. I also think there must be a plot point that is not yet disclosed (otherwise, it will be a fairly weak scenario and a bit disappointing.) There is a remark made in that trailer whether Boatā€™s character is bonding with the Omega because he is scared of being alone, then Oatā€™s character asks whether he (Boat) did all this because he wants to survive? Maybe itā€™s figurative but maybe itā€™s literal and if he doesnā€™t bond with an omega, he might die? I think there might be something there that will be a topic (does Boat have a special condition or a weakness despite being alpha?) and whether all this happens just out of instinct, or selfish needs, or real love (maybe a mix of all this?) Anyway I will definitely watch it and I appreciate they explained their specific ABO universe background at the start, since every story in that genre has its own version of it.

I definitely think it may even go deeper into the omegavese than ABO Desire did so I''m curious to see how it will go. This show will definitely be carried by the chemistry becuasae those two leads did such a good job.

I do think you are right, it's really just to expose Omegaverse to more people and see their reaction, especially in thailand. It does seem like it'll go deeper into the omegaverse and tbh for ABO Desire I wasn't 100% interested in the plot either. Like all the non romance stuff wasn't really my thing haha like the companies and everything, it made me feel like "what is going on here" haha. I do think the bonding part is a real interesting thing I hope they focus on.

That how Chinese drama/bl tend to be (not taiwanese drama as they are very different). As much as I love revenge love, I hated all the snake and ex boyfriend storyline. That why I couldnt rank it that high as best BL of the year even if the romance was one of the best that year. Omegaverse will do super well in USA if they push it in the USA market. There so many Omegaverse book here so it will be popluar over here.
