He's doing this so Dr. Pun can move on, without having that conversation but I think it'll all come out eventually

I love how ur conflicted too 🤣 like yes we want them together but then we don’t at the same time. Their chemistry is top notch! I just love ur reaction. Yeah Dr. Pun is hurting! i don't know if you noticed but moth is basically trying to make pun fall out of love with him by interacting with dean. almost every interaction he had with dean was influanced by that. i feel like he sees throuh most of deans lies but i cannot wait for you to watch the eps after that. also, i feel like both characters are red flags in their own way. your reactions this ep were hilarious - we get it you are good at sucking - was my fav 🤣🤣🤣

i think the pilot made this angle pretty explicit, but now in the series we kind of have to interpret Moth's actions in the different situations. But yeah, i also had that strong feeling. Moth was ready to lash out at Dean, but stopped himself because of Pun. And then we see Pun's reaction to seeing the hand placement, kind of implying that he's part of this whole thing, too, in some way

ah... wait... you don't know Pétanque? it's kind of known as an old-people-sport, playing all day in the park... usually on sandy/gravelly ground, there's a small ball thrown a few meters away, and then players have to throw/roll their own bigger metal balls as close to the target as possible. Knocking away opponents balls is allowed, and people take turns. (sort of the lazy afternoon park just for fun version of curling?)

I also think that Moth's attraction to Dean is because of the contrast between him and Dr. Pun. Dean isn't clingy or needy, he doesn't try to emotionally manipulate Moth using that thinly veiled cloying sweetness that Dr. Pun uses when he wants Moth to do something. If you look at all the people that Moth has rejected before and their behavior, he doesn't like people who attach themselves to him, he doesn't like his independence being curtailed. And Dean, because he's got more people he can spend his focus on than just Moth, is very much take it or leave it. If you're available, sweet, lets have fun, if not... okay, I'll go have fun with someone else. The lack of pressure on Moth from Dean must feel really refreshing, and that's what I think leads him to spending more time with Dean, and eventually falling for him. And Dean's time with Moth will certainly change him as well.

I think part of its Moth trying to get Pun to move on without having to flat out reject him. You can tell he appreciates their friendship and is likely worried about hurting Pun or maybe even losing him. The other side is Dean asked Moth to be the one to hit follow on IG, basically asking permission rather than just sending him flirty messages straight away. The fact he had his IG open showed he could have done so already but left it up to Moth to decide so this probably intrigued him and let him feel more in control.
