In the second in an occasional series of episodes on the US presidential election and the Left, we talk to Nicholas Kiersey, a volunteer with the Bernie Sanders campaign in Texas and host of the Fully Automated podcast. What were things like on the campaign trail, and what went wrong for Bernie? Will Biden go the distance, and are there more shenanigans in store?

I'm curious to know the views of the hosts on the extent to which "what happened in Iowa" was a result of, or only visible because of the caucus? If you'll indulge me some further context to the question - it seems uncontroversial that the purpose of 'WHiI' was to prevent the victory lap, rather than steal the result. In a conventional ballot process there would not have been the "Bernie numbers" to provide a counter balance to the mainstream narrative, but conversely perhaps the 'murky' nature of the caucus give the establishment the confidence to put their hand on the scale.

Just listened to this and I think some parts aged remarkably badly by Aufhebunga Bunga standards. The only one I would really fault you on was Tara Reade. It was clear at the time that nobody was going to talk about it.
