On the Jacobin & YouGov survey of the US working class.

A study (pdf) carried out by YouGov on behalf of Jacobin magazine and the Center for Working-Class Politics has learned that "working-class voters prefer progressive candidates who focus primarily on bread-and-butter economic issues, and who frame those issues in universal terms."What can we learn from the study, beyond the obvious? What are its limitations, and what does the survey say about those who commissioned it?Plus: does it make sense to frame your politics as 'anti-woke'?Reading:

Yet another elaborate attempt by a faction of PMC-aspirants to “prove” that “the working class” is on their side. This type of research is farcical cope bordering on delusion. If Bernie Sanders-style rhetoric was so popular why has he only been able to win elections in the second least populous state (Vermont). If the “working class” are so xenophilic why did they vote for Trump in 2016? Here is the reality boys. Jacobin readers and Aufhebunga bunga listeners are not working class - nor are their interests aligned with those of the working class. The sooner the anti-woke bourgeois left realizes this the better.

Working class people do not need polls or surveys to tell them they are not racist or sexist or homophobic but clearly left wing journals do. Perhaps that’s the problem.

Jennifer Baldwin

George is absolutely spot on right now ground up working class people are demonstrating week after week across the world to protect their and their children’s bodily autonomy and the Nuremberg code. See Italy and Trieste as a starter. The woke class or pmc or whatever you want to call them understand now their prime job is to implement the new bio security state for the ruling class. Phil you were brilliant on brexit but move on with the roll out of global fascism it’s kind of irrelevant.

Jennifer Baldwin

Sorry brexit and trump’s election is very relevant in that it warned the central bankers to get on either the roll out of a digital currency and that the prime opposition to this would be the home of the dollar and the pound. Thankfully a very scary flu like illness came along to help them remove democracy.

The only point of this research is to convince one (old) section of the Democratic Party that another (young) section of the Democratic Party is right about marketing. It has nothing to do with policy.
