UPDATE: forgot to mention that annual subscription is an optional thing so the monthly one would still be available as well.

Alright, first of all thanks everyone for your kind words and support under my latest post!

But now I’d like to make a poll about the new feature I have available: Annual Subscriptions 


Patron now allows creators to turn on annual subscriptions and to add a discount on those (up to 16% off). And if you go for this kind of sub, you get charged immediately with full amount and get all of the content from your tier for the next 12 months. I’m still not sure if this is a good way to run things, but I decided to make a poll to see what you think. So:

Would you go for it?

I wouldn't mind either, normally, but I feel like the monthly would benefit you more than a single yearly payment

That’s what I thought as well, yes. But I think ultimately it’d depend on how many people really ready to sub for a year. If that’s like let’s say 10, then it’s all good, I’d still have plenty of my usual monthly subs left there too. But you guys are wild cards, so I might end up with seventy generous folks and basically empty pockets in a month. :D

Thanks for letting me know! I just realized that I didn’t mention it in the post: I could add this annual option, but monthly option would not go away and would still be available, of course.

The one problem I have with the annual payment option has to do with creators who've gotten the money and then decide that they're going to take a month or more off from making content. Besides that, I'm all for it.

Understandable! However, I’m almost positive that there is a system of refunding there and you could always stop it at one or two months before your sub ends. Not the most convenient thing for sure, but it gets the job done, you know?
