Skyrim has never once chosen where to stand during a sex scene. It just leaves the camera wherever it happened to be.
Point a camera at a scene and walk away and you get exactly one angle — whichever one the player was standing in when it started. It does not move when the position changes. It does not come closer when the scene gets closer. It is not a shot; it is a vantage point that nobody picked.
OCinema directs it instead. It stands the camera where a camera would stand, holds the shot long enough to read, and cuts when something in the scene actually changes.
What it does
It stands anywhere around the pair — eight positions at forty-five degrees apart, and never twice within ninety degrees of the last one. Behind, beside, in front and every diagonal between them, instead of the one angle the game would have handed you.
Height comes from the bodies, not from a constant — it measures how upright the two of them actually are, that frame, and picks from a different set of heights for standing, low and lying. A low angle on a standing pair is a low angle; the same number on a lying pair is a shot of the floor.
It knows what the position IS — four bones read live. One head down at the other's waist and it frames that head, because the action is there and a close-up of the other person is a close-up of the wrong end of the shot. Pelvises stacked and it anchors between the bodies instead of between the faces — in a riding position the point between two heads is a spot in the air with nobody in it.
Forty-two setups — from a master of the whole room down to a framing tight enough to crop below the chin, each with its own lens, height, and behaviour while it is on screen: locked, push in, crane, orbit, drift.
Letterbox bars, optional, on a switch.
It does nothing outside a scene. Dialogue, combat and exploration cameras are untouched. No ESP, no scripts, no master, nothing written to your save.
Fixed in this build
OStim's own buttons could vanish. The sweep that clears HUD clutter out of a shot was reaching into the overlay OStim draws its controls on — Return, Next, Back, the speed arrows. It left you watching a scene you could not steer. It now leaves the scene framework's surfaces alone, and the overlay toolkit's with it.
This is not a zoom preset. It is the camera department.
Requirements
Skyrim SE/AE, matching SKSE, Address Library
OStim Standalone
SKSE Menu Framework (optional — the in-game settings panel)
⚠️ Setup — the one step people miss
Turn OStim's free camera OFF. MCM → Camera page.
Free camera is a camera mode of its own, and while it is on, nothing this mod does will be visible. With it off, OStim leaves the camera alone and OCinema can direct it.
Keep SmoothCam enabled — the two hand the camera between them properly. If you play in first person with Improved Camera, set bScripted=0 in its profile.
Beta notes — what would help most
It is an early build. Use a save you can throw away, and please send Documents/My Games/Skyrim Special Edition/SKSE/OCinema.log with anything you report. It names the mod holding the camera when there is a fight over it, which answers most camera reports on its own.
What I want to hear about, in order:
Angles that are wrong for the position. The log writes a line per cut saying what it read the position as — reads as riding, reads as oral, reads as ordinary. If a cowgirl scene says ordinary, the numbers behind that guess are wrong, and that one line is enough to fix them.
Creature scenes. A werewolf has no human pelvis bone, so the camera frames off your own body and the partner only contributes its bulk. I want to know whether that reads right, or whether it looks like the creature was forgotten.
Furniture and three-person scenes. Both work off the same measurements as a standing pair, and both have more room to be wrong.
Anything where the camera ends up inside a wall, a body, or the floor.
A camera that leaves mid-scene and does not come back. Several ways that could happen have been closed; I do not assume all of them have.
Any OStim widget still missing during a scene. The log names every menu it hid, on one line. With that name I can spare it by the next build instead of guessing.
Thank you
The camera work in this build came out of people describing what was wrong with the shot they were looking at, in words, while looking at it. That is worth more than a bug number, and it is the only reason this got past it points at them, roughly.
Free mods stay free. Patrons just get them first.

Thanks to Cinematic Conversation Camera by hashhbbrown, it is why this exists.
The Master spent a fortnight teaching a camera where to stand, and the only thing he never taught it was how to look away.
Eight places to stand. It has never once picked the polite one.
