Chapter 140: What They Built. The Finale 💝
Dear Snily Team,
It is finished.
It feels odd to write that. This story began with a man dying in the Shrieking Shack and being given a second chance, and over 140 chapters it has become something I never fully planned: a story about what one person can build when he chooses people over power. Voldemort took Britain by the throat. Severus built a school, a clinic and a way of working that people came to on their own feet. That contrast was always the heart of Season 2, and I hope the last three chapters, The Doors Become a School, The Prince of Potions and What They Built, have done it justice.
The finale is deliberately gentle. After so much war, scheming and ledger-balancing, I wanted the ending to feel like exhaling. You will see the Faculty thriving without needing its founders, the Alliance together for no reason except that they want to be, and Severus and Lily with the one conversation I think they both needed. There is no new threat and no cliffhanger. Sirius’s answer about settling down stays his own business for now. 😉 Severus ends the story alive, happy and home, exactly as I promised.
