Heroe o Villano?
Hey guys, I’ll upload the preview tomorrow. My new PC is already assembled; the only thing left is the cable management, which my friend decided to do another day. Since I have no idea how to build PCs, I don’t know how complicated that part is.
I also need to install the operating system and organize my room so both PCs are ready for work, since my other friend will be starting to work with me to speed everything up.
I’ll also take the opportunity to animate a few +18 scenes so the preview feels more complete.
Bad news, guys. The cable management took longer than expected, but the PC worked! The only problem is that the case fans didn’t turn on. Also, my room is packed with stuff—it would be the equivalent of xQc’s room. XD But everything is finally starting to come together.
And as a little anecdote, I accidentally got scammed. For just $1 more, my USB drive went from 16GB to 32GB, but they left out that the 32GB one was USB 2.0 (I just found out there were different USB versions). So the boot process is going to take quite a while. This is what it loaded in one hour:
If anyone’s wondering, the boot process is so that when I start up my new PC, Windows 11 can be installed from the USB drive.👀
Eh, something never changes with purchases like this.
Finally
In the end, the problem was the program I used to create the bootable USB. It took 3 hours and wasn’t making any progress XD. So if you ever need to create a bootable USB, do it with the official tool from Microsoft’s website.
Damn bro, I had so many problems transferring my Blender files to the new PC. For starters, my shitty USB drive started transferring files ridiculously slowly after a while — it took an hour just to transfer 23 MB. I think the problem was that I was cutting and pasting instead of copying and pasting.
And the worst part was that I spent hours trying to figure out why I couldn’t install my addons in Blender. The solution was to install the “Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015–2022, x64 and x86.” From what I understood, my Windows was missing some of the programming libraries that Blender needed, so when Blender tried to call one of them, it would throw some random error or something like that. It was such a headache, but I finally managed to install all my addons and Blender files.
Oh, that sucks!!! (((
Good thing you did figure it out!
A few days ago, I stopped using night mode on my PC, since obviously I was seeing the colors of the animations differently. I also learned how to use compositing in Blender to achieve a result more similar to the game HSR, since my animation looked pretty plain. Look at the difference:
Nice, definitely looks more crisp
Finally made it out of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber! I’ve already paused the charges. Tomorrow (today/Monday) I’ll announce the next animation and give you guys some updates on a few things hehe, but we’re finally getting back to the normal routine, or at least I hope so hehe.
I was the one who commissioned the star rail animation and it’s a blessing in disguise that some scenes didn’t make it in but I can now learn to write scenes better but it’s all good because
If anyone loved the Himeko x caelus story there’s gonna be a part 2 confirmed, a prologue (part 0) and depends on how I feel maybe a part 3 , cuz other characters need love too
Shit bro, yesterday I was dealing with a Patreon issue that’s completely out of my hands and depends on other people to get fixed (which I fucking hate), and it still hasn’t been resolved because of the usual bureaucracy. And to top it all off, rendering was taking 3 minutes for 1 second of animation. I did a ton of different tests and ended up going to sleep pissed off, but today, with a clearer head, I realized it was because I had two different subdivision levels on the same character. Now that I’ve fixed it, it takes 15 seconds for 1 second, so at least that problem is solved.
I was thinking, “I spent all this money on my PC just for it to not be able to render two simple characters.” Whenever you’re angry, take some time to clear your head and then come back to solve the problem. It’s a pretty cliché piece of advice, but it works really well.
i would always slam a desk or yeet a cup to de stress
I prefer listening to songs.
Sometimes there are days when it seems that everything is either against you or ecxists simply to frustrate you. Wish you less those days.
