The Dad Crew sits down to talk about the latest episode of The Peachyville Horror!

Pnugg

Dang I almost made it first

GoblinGuy

Talking about anti heros/rick&morty, I think the biggest thing is people not understanding the difference between liking a character AS A CHARACTER and liking them AS A PERSON. Liking characters that are bad people/make terrible choices is absolutely okay and normal, but people will start defending literal war crimes because they’re that loyal to a fictional character. Sometimes a character is interesting and horrible, and that’s genuinely fine, but remember they’re *a character* who has *done bad things*.

Octavia MacIsaac

So excited, this content always makes my night 😀

Rose Doll

A real King of the hill focused intro lol

Namedafterabook

The imperium of man should be in that starter pack

Amatiramisu

Man I didn't even parse dishonored 2 and Titanfall 2 did that gimmick around the same time and those are two of my favorite IPs

Redsriding

What do you do with those old moles LMAO

Emma Davis

Yay! Happy to find out they’re continuing Christerion Collection!!

Galaxy Croissant

I STAND WITH YOU BETH!!! TURKEY IS SUPERIOR BUT ITS SO HARD TO BUY OUT OF SEASON!!

Arthur Williams

That Pirates of the Caribbean /Rick and Morty line from Will is fucking PERFECT

Bishibosh44

I was curious after Will's off-handed remark, Kahn is voiced by Toby Huss who is also Artie in "The Adventures of Pete and Pete". I'm not Laotian, but as a mixed-race asian I don't find the portrayal problematic. I'm not a scholar of these matters, nor KotH in particular but I wouldn't be surprised if the team was fairly self-aware. They tell a number of precarious stories about race, Hank's half brother is an incredible arc, and often come up to and carefully cross "the line" only to underscore Hank's fundamental decency and indefatigable humanity.

GnarlyRat

YES YES YES YES FINALLY

Gmork

I married a Louisiana boy and my father in law sounds exactly like Boomhower. Half the time I have no idea what he's saying.

Gmork

Rick & Morty is awesome in the way that Amsrican Psycho or Lolita is awesome. You delightfully enjoy what pathetic garbage they are, or you miss the point entirely.

Abby Normal

Dermatologists are paid by procedure which is different from most other specialties I guess? So that explains why they’ll just do stuff for you when you want them to.

Byl

As imaginative, wild, quirky, and entertaining as this episode is, Anthony made me laugh so hard I snorted with the outtake about period sex, "real gangsters run red lights" in Francis' voice. Still laughing.

Scruffy City Lawyer

Listening to them talk about Mars Attacks not being what they expected reminded me of the time we went to see Event Horizon for my friend's bday. In my mind Event Horizon was the space movie with the giant bugs (Starship Troopers). I ended up being so scared that I had to leave the theatre and sit by myself in the lobby until the movie was over. Starship Troopers would never done me dirty like that.

GRIVVIS

I think Freddie would be very impressed with my grandmas hostess trolly we inherited, never once was any food served below optimal temperature 😂

Daniel Roberts

Where do we post our questions to get asked out? And what's a discord?

Stebaaan

Am a dental hygienist. Can confirm I love watching power washing videos and teeth cleaning videos. Ear cleaning too. But don’t like pimple popping blehhh

DMAN

For Beth: Thank you for sharing with us, the audience. I had a hard time maintaining sobriety on election night, as well, and it was unexpected to hear validation. Good job, Beth, I think you're stronger for it!

Keith Brown

Hey Will at what tier of the Patreon can I get that Italian sausage recipe Cherish makes? Cause I was sold immediately

SonOfABoofo

Remember, wubba lubba dub dub means “i am in great pain” so that would be a great thing to put in a dating profile

Daniel B

Uptown Garrison in Washington Heights NY had my favorite turkey sandwich. It was on their menu year round until recently.

Ashley Knaack

Love hearing Jessica Vosk shouted out! If you love her work, you can hear her as Lute on Hazbin Hotel 🏨

Fearne Pérez

This is so funny because I haven’t eaten meat in twelve years and the only meat I still crave is turkey.

Maria M

I did not know about dental cleaning videos before this and I REGRET EVERYTHING. It’s fascinating, but I’m also nauseated and I need to brush my teeth 10000 times. Whyyyyyyyy.

pulled a muscle yearning

As someone who lives in a fairly small city where it's very fleeting to come across cool artsy women on the apps it so frustrating to listen to women I respect on podcasts being like "yeah so I went to this guys place after he invited me to watch rick and morty." Because liking rick and morty is something I have actually kept as a secret for like months into a relationship, when we discovered we both liked it haha

Who up Preppin' they Tentes

all that time riffing on rick and morty (rightfully) and then the comment about the bigfoots knowing english but wrong has set them up perfectly for the "peace among worlds" bit from that same show

KingerWasHere

Good turkey is always better than chicken, except maybe in pasta dishes

Emeryth

The evolution of ya’lls character voices is honestly one of my favorite parts of this podcast. Take your time on the voices, find the perfect space!

Emeryth

I heard Beth mention a few times that she’s sober?! Heck yes, Queen! 1 year and 3 months here!

Casey Dargan

Honestly, McDonald’s deserves to be ransacked sometimes.

jen Rogue

I was 22 when I had an annoying mole removed. It was on my neck and felt like a thousand paper cuts any time I put a seat belt on. They are the best doctors

Sean Demarest

Dimension 20 technically also did the time thing on Mentopolis. Freddie’s season

Natural Dragon

Hey let’s not attack Rick and Morty. I’m pretty sure Siobhan Thompson is still a staff writer there and she is DnD royalty you DnD peasants!!! I fully admit I’m lower than you DnD peasants. One more note can more of you please be on dropout. I loved your um actually episodes and Freddie’s time on D20. My idea for a D20 campaign is “oops all DMs” Anthony, Will, Brennan, Mercer, Aabria, Murph, Griffin McElroy, etc are the players and you get someone who has never been a DM/GM to run the game such as Freddie or Hank Green or each episode you rotate who is the DM/GM. Edit: I just wanted to add. I’m from MN and grew up in the deep north (Duluth). I can confirm that Freddie is dialing in the accent. I’ve heard people talk with a very similar style and accent in MN. It’s more rare in the bigger towns and cities. Lots of rural areas you will hear someone sound very similar but not exactly what Freddie is doing. I say Freddie is getting closer each episode. Freddie is not to far off from a rural MN Norwegian/Swedish accent. The fish dish Freddie was thinking of is called lutefisk. My grandparents made it for us every Christmas. I prefer Lefse.

Jeff Grant

Hearing that beth doesn’t like green bean casserole makes me think her family just uses a bad recipe, I wasn’t really a fan of it until me and my wife tried this recipe that we found online that has like biscuits crumbled through it, and it’s 🔥. Same thing with the turkey, I wet brine it overnight, spatchcock it and then get that skin all nice and crispy, but all the meat is incredibly tender and juicy. Idk if every white persons family was like this, but they didn’t use spices, maam it’s not the 1700’s we have incredible access to spices, use that shit. The curry sounds great I’ll have to try that

Louis Frohock

That podcast ain’t right I’m dead

ChunkyZebra

I 100% agree with beth on the turkey vs chicken battle. I would gladly give up chicken to only have turkey.

LilacIris

I'm proud of you DMAN for your sobriety <3

Erika Salazar

As somebody who lives near the Martinelli factory, please visit! There is so much to do in and around the monterey bay too. Check out the aquarium in Monterey, go to Big Sur, kayaking in the Elkhorn slough, the red woods in Santa cruz, so much. Please visit!!

Jaded Reading

Kinda on the same deal with Freddy with the last question, but i think Mark's movie "Iron Lung" is definitely gonna change how movies are made and who can make them

DMAN

1 year 1 month here! Election night was a toughie

Schuyler

You’re insane

Daniel Bryn

Bwaw bwaminw baw maw bew

Noah Shadley

Can I have a season 1 poster, I only got a fetchquest one :(

Kyle Barnes

One of the movies I’m looking forward to is Iron Lung. I’m hoping it’s just not a Markiplier hype movie and he knocks it out of the park. A small team indie film that might be the last thing Rooster Teeth has touched. Hopefully something we can see next year.

Cait

To piggy back off of Anthony's comment about doctors denying the tube tying surgeries under a certain age: in 2015 I was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer with my cancer growth being fuel by hormones. I was denied by THREE DOCTORS to remove my ovaries, even after my oncologist team wrote the recommendation. I was 23. Their reason? They thought that I might want kids with the 15% chance that gave me to become pregnant post-cancer. One also sited that they were Catholic and didn't see this as a life saving procedure 🙃 American healthcare, y'all!

Benjamin P Parson Gomberg

You know what has more problematic messages than Rick and Morty? Twilight. What has worse real-world consequences and pain and suffering of actual people? Wrestling. What is more ridiculous, over the top, shock schlock for the sake of being edgy? Warhammer 40K. I am not big into Rick and Morty any more, I really enjoy 40K, and for my niece’s sake I’ve tolerated Twilight. But my point is let people enjoy stuff, don’t snap judgement and act like you are better than a particular interest, particularly when each of you have your own “problematic” enjoyments.

Richard Trauma

Turkey is far superior to chicken. If your turkey sucks YOU suck at cooking turkey.

King Anvl

Will: what do they do with the old moles? Me getting ptsd flashbacks from that one Kids Next Door episode about pinkeye

Josh Christopher

As a kid I was convinced that Richard Schiff (Eddie Carr) was actually killed by the animatronic T. rexes in The Lost World. Only him though, every other actor death was just pretend. Beth, we gotta chat about TLW. Every time you reference it I get a hit of dopamine.

Shane Murphy

Congratulations on Sobriety Beth!

dickaxe

I still don't know what a 'school marm' actually is lol

Luna Luna

I feel like you all talked about movies I’ve never seen for 40 minutes

polyglottal cracker

I wonder if they know Siobhan Thompson, with whom I think Beth and Freddie have worked before on Dropout, writes/wrote for Rick & Morty.

Dominic Mitchell

Turkey is the worst im with Matt gimme that duck baby shit slaps

Taco Dragons

Dude everyone shits on the Prequels. But the Prequels are the best Trilogy of the Star Wars movies. I loved them as a kid. Love them every re-watch. Rewatched them with the wife (her first watch!) and she agrees the prequels are the best. I have so many issues with the original Trilogy. Episode 6 is honestly boring to me. And I don't think I'll ever re-watch the sequels.

pie

i really really hate terrifier… there’s a deep misogyny to the writing and kills.

Ethan Fullard

I’ve heard such good things about hundreds of beavers I really need to watch it

Ethan Fullard

I loved wicked! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

Jenn Mori

I’m so happy to hear you guys mention Hundreds of Beavers!! Such a fun movie that I went into blind; saying I was pleasantly surprised after watching it is an understatement. Glad that it’s still rolling out in theatres and gaining more attention!

Devon Willingham

I made Cuban picadillo every year for my friendsgiving. Old family recipe and it’s super good. My friends agents bring Texas Roadhouse sides and rolls as well. And my mom mashed French silk pie bites. Super good. This year for actual thanksgiving we made hot turkey sandwiches and it was amazing

Kuko Creations

First movie that made me go "Oh wow, this is hot garbage"? 101 Dalmatians live action with our boy Glenn Close, I mean our girl. I remember as a 9 year old being very disappointed that the dogs didn't talk and the acting was overall terrible. My sister and I left the theatre halfway through.

Ace Hutson

The first movie that I was like "this is bad" to was episode 9. Like, I spent 13 years of my life thinking every movie I saw had it's good bits and liking those whilst ignoring what I didn't like. However episode 9 broke me when Oscar Isaac (who was too good for those movies) said "somehow, palpatine returned."

ketchup kola

Reading the comments for the actual episodes is spoilers, but reading the comments before peach pit is so good. I'm shaking.

FriesischeKuh

Give us Dadhammer part 2 already! I’m dying here

Jane Dalton

Beth is 100% right about turkey. A turkey sandwich is so much better than a chicken sandwich. Turkey complements more flavors than chicken does but chicken is better by itself.

goose

💙

mysticmerakis

As a dentist, I literally describe having your teeth cleaned to anxious kids like jet washing your car

Max Wilson

Forget Balto. Togo on Disney + is the GOAT! Starring Wilem Dafoe. It’s SUCH a good movie!

B. J. Boyd

Blake’s accent sounds the Czech Brothers that Dan Ackroyd and Steve Martin played on SNL

JtheDon

Duck for Thanksgiving hits a million times better than any other bird

Maia Woods

not to be parasocial but hearing will's unabashed earnestness for the things he loves makes me think the world is pretty great actually

Maia Woods

actually edit: hearing will's passion and sincerity when he talks about genuinely anything makes me think the world fucking rules

Pedro Machado Figueira

I hate banter/round table podcasts, but the 10 first minutes of this ep challenge my stance on this genre

dickaxe

The BDSM part of the podcast is now the sadomasochistic treatment of Will as the DM 😂

Wander

I cannot exclaim this enough, but Will you mentioning Godzilla Minus One means so much to me. It was instantly my response to the question and I just cannot explain how much I love that movie and Godzilla as a whole. He’s been my hyper fixation for the past month and it’s just so cool to hear you bring up the movie. Anyways thanks

Chess

It comes from like one room schoolhouses, the school marm would be the one teacher in charge of it all; and now refers to old fashioned, stricter female teachers, usually in rural schools

Patricia Pfeiffer

What DnD class would each of the podcast members be in real life?

MK Prock ❤️

The King of the Hill opening had me cackling lmao

Isis

Sometimes I listen to them laugh about dermatology and I realize just how young I am

Isis

Sometimes I listen to them laugh about skibiti toilet and I feel old.

Anthony Vetrano

Literally said Jessica Vosk in sync with Beth when she was saying who it was! All around super star

HermieTheWorthy

@Matt Really? Your take on an Adult Swim show is primarily influenced by the actions of a small group of teenagers doing dumb shit? I know you have the ability to critically analyze better than that! Seriously, give the first two seasons of Rick and Morty another chance

ArtMan

OMG! I feel the same way about Mars Attacks! Also went into it thinking it would be a funny kids movie (my not so friendly friend tricked my into thinking it was), only I realized I wasn't in a safe space when they killed the dog. I couldn't watch it anymore, and had to hide under a blanket because he refused to turn it off. I've never been able to watch it since.

I hate Italians

For me it was the transformers sequels😔

The Dooker

Almost identical experience with Mars Attacks as Anthony. I saw MJF die & I was distraught I dont think I finished the movie and came back to it years later.

John Ring

Tried the "Doubt" into "Conclave" double-feature Beth, having never seen either before, and I can confirm that it ruled!

I hate Italians

Matt’s in the tin can today! Usually it’s Anthony they put in there

I hate Italians

OMG THEY TALKED ABOUT HUNDREDS OF BEAVERS! I watched that at 3 am with my best friend last weekend it was so funny

the chompie man

To quote Beth. " you never had it freddy" lol

CopperKnight

The book for Lost World is so much better than the movie tbh.

Will Fisher

Hundreds of Beavers was probably in my top 5 movies of last year for sure. Highly suggest watching

Lex

HARD agree with Beth on that turkey take 🤷🏻‍♀️

ScoopyOopyPoopy

Y'all, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday for food, and lemme just say these tips: SALT BRINE the turkey. You slap that birdy in a thick coat of salt and you let it sit in the fridge in a pot for 2 days before cooking. Then you gotta use FRESH rosemary, garlic and sage, idk what you doing if you don't. Bake it, fry it, whatever, it's going to be the most tender and juicy turkey you've ever eaten. You gotta use white wine and broth and shit to smother that baby during a baking process. Then, mashed potatoes with sour cream and rosemary. Some STUFFING, cheap stuff, slice up some garlic and onions and throw it in there. Brown gravy. I can't take this Thanksgiving hate anymore. Will is correct - SKILL ISSUE 👏👏

DankLord420

Tyler was so much worse in the book- had they allowed him to kill everyone and not just wipe out credit card debt i think we might have disliked him a smidgen more

Leda J

Mannnnn I am just minding my business and Freddie making a Palsgraf/zone-of-danger joke about Oliver Wendall Holmes was like a jumpscare. There are lawyers listening to this podcast, dude, you gotta chill out with that. Also, incredible pull lmao

Shoshitake Takeyani

Turkey is absolutely my favorite meat. It’s delicious in sammiches, in soup, for thanksgiving, it’s super savory and sweet. I’d have Turkey instead of chicken AND beef any day. The only problem is we can’t get a Turkey too big cause it has to fit in a Pyrex dish

Emma Bell

I canNOT believe y’all didn’t know what fried apples were

Trevor T

You can't talk about the most incredible lemon meringue pie and not drop the recipe

Silent H

fact. Balto stole Togos valor

Emaly L

I know this is old but I just got a job at Martinellis and I grew up in the area and it's so surreal to hear them talking about my hometown and coming up for a visit

Ryan Frederick

this is old but omg turkey is the best meat idc. and i love it with dried out white meat or anything it's just good and idk why people don't like it

Papa Panda

When the shout down was happening I changed it up n cook a duck instead. Been having duck on Thanksgiving ever since. All hail the duck!

Mighty Mjolnir

I actually really enjoy when it feels like they’ve locked in with a character, not just voice, but when it almost becomes natural. I think that’s part of the reason I love long campaigns/books/series.

Frostiezy the great

I feel iron lung is going to change things with it being a bigger blockbuster made by someone who pumped his own money into it as a passion project and that it was successful

Gabrielle

Ya’ll need to get into animation more, based on all the (honestly slightly Boomer-coded) complaints about modern media. Indie animation is absolutely doing groundbreaking things, and I can think of a whole list of semi-recent animated shows that are better written than any before them (save for ATLA of course). A few examples are: The Owl House The Netflix She-Ra reboot Infinity Train Amphibia Arcane season 1 (though I think they’ve seen that one) Also just about anything Glitch is doing. I always think people who complain there’s no good modern media need to expand beyond live-action more, because animation is in a golden era right now

Mitchell cintron

Hey Beth, I felt the same way over election night. Im currently 620 days sober and its been the hardest fight I've ever had to do. Hopefully you are sticking with it here in 2026. Happy Pride everyone.

the chompie man

Will predicted the minus one sequel title
