Earlier this year when Matt and Freddie were busy with Nail House, the rest of the Dads worked on banking up some killer content. In today's MBIC, Anthony is joined by Amanda Schuckman for HUNT(er/ed), a 2 player game of pursuit, determination, and what it truly means to be a monster.

Hey, my daughter’s name is Greta. Great choice Anthony!

Anthony with the femur dagger? Time for some Fem-dom. Oop now I see why Anthony noped out on the joke.

I had a lot of fun with this! I always enjoy the introductions to new games like this that I otherwise would not have ever heard about!

AMANDA!!!!!! She makes everything better. Personally, we over here at Corkboard are just waiting for the Detecticon on the Nile sequel to Dad then There Were None! Feel like that could be accomplished a lot more successfully without Matt and Freddy than without anybody else. (Plus that would make it a fem dom ratio. 🔥🤘🏽) Detecticon on the Nile!

Extremely odd that without even seeing your comment I also used the term Fem Dom in my comment, making 50% of the comments on this post about Fem Dom.

liam morin

hell yeah this is amazing! it’s always great when amanda joins for things :)

liam morin

also that final scene with the autumnal yeti and greta (sp?) was very sweet

Honestly any time Amanda is on it's gonna be a great time, she's always a favorite. I second the suggestion of the Dadatha Christie sequel though!! I've been waiting so long for it, I just know it would be amazing

Linnea Lindstrom

Wow! Love how much story you managed to squeeze into such a short time! (Somebody turn the first one into a short story, please!) The prompts are great! 2-person games always sounded super stressful to me, but the cards would sure help ease the anxiety and pressure!

Baijo

I need a hundred more episodes of specifically this but also anything with Anthony and Amanda tbh

Ian Hamilton

As a Cape Cod local, I am SO PROUD of this representation

A good role playing game that you can play with just 2 people is a board game called “Dark Romance”, set in a gothic romance environment. It’s 2 players and essentially, you have to sus out who the other player is so you can get your most optimal outcome. The scenes you create can be very fun, I played it with my partner and she’s not a big boardgame person but got into this because it was so easy to explain and set up.

Raging Metal Games

Would love to hear this done again with different combos of everyone

Rasmus Kørner

Love mbic audio only. Shuckmann is always a win. This was different, but digestible and an easy listen. I don't need all the daddies every time, a rolling roster with the birch, the may and friends of the channel is all I need🙂

What a cool game! I'm definitely going to grab it. For more one-shots maybe take a look at Mobile Frame Zero: Firebrands, it's GMless and has players take turns selecting different (and simple) minigames to both advance the story and to try and get the best final hand to get narrative control of the ending. Also, anime mechs are cool. It's the same designers as my very favorite system, Apocalypse World, which is also great for a short-term campaign of about 12 sessions and usually veers into PVP near the end.

MooliciousMD

I WANT MORE. It'd also be cool to do with different combos of people (depending on who is available).

MooRoo25

This was so fun!! Would love to have more of this with different people

PinnJay

This was great, love to have the 2 of you play other little games like this!

Naught Joe

Took the time to look up Italian Lemon: time well spent.

Everest

Loved this! I just wanted to stay in the first story longer like it was a gumshoes special

Jeffs Game Time

This was awesome! I would listen to hours and hours of this.

Rambling Rose

Is… is an autumnal yeti not just a Sasquatch? 🫈

Mike Meyers

I love these one-shot episodes! Also introduces me to new types of games

Story

I did, on several occasions, say “but how many rings of a cicus, Anthony?”

Andrew G

I can't, and I can't stress this enough, stress this enough, more Amanda.

Zac Watson

More narrative role play MBICs in the future with literally any number of any mix of guests and main cast will always be fire

Abby Langdon

So fun, I enjoyed it very much

Amanda

HOW DARE YOU

Renee

This was fun!! Would definitely listen to more like this. Also Amanda makes everything great 😊

Henry Houston

I really enjoyed this! Just wish it was longer

Nanowow

very fun! absolutely more roleplay content for MBICs. I find it massively more "Dungeon's and Daddies" than video game streaming which just to be candid, nobody of the daddies really are great at.

Ace Hutson

Honest opinion, I like it! But I personally wish for a lighter tone when I’m listening to y’all!

Jay

This was great :) I loved it

Invader Jimm

I love how horrified Amanda is everytime Anthony describes anything from his character's story 🤣

Ideas for MBICs: - Sons and Sonsability Spin-off series (low expectations like for instance those Lilo and Stitch series), where Elizabeth Mothman and Lady Jane Rogan travel about the timeline and commit some true crime, and explaining for instance the the Trump ear shot, some UFO’s etc. - i know Anthony has spoken about this a lot in the beginning, but it would be nice to have all his dm wisdom in one place, maybe a discord collection of aftershows that are rich in dm-advice, maybe also one or two new recordings with an updated version of his dm advice (because it has been a while and i’m sure he’s learned more). And a recording where Anthony literally thinks aloud while doing prep, sort of real time, or prepping prep. Or just a run through of the thought process of how you can prepare in under an hour. Audio or maybe just a worksheet that you’d have to fill in. Or his favorite dm screen / what tabs does he have open on his laptop. (I always struggle with these 2 things: 1) i am afraid i wont know what to do so i over prepare. But i never finish that over preparedness, i just finish prepping the prep, like endlessly browsing all cool items that i might one day need,. But i never finish the actual prep of that session, the stuff that really matters. And i dont think i know what really matters even. 2) i have so many lists, structured bookmarks, wiki notes, that during the game i dont know where to find the thing i really need. I have 20 tabs 50 bookmarks, a fysical folder with weapon lists, a few windows with notes, a note where i try to monitor monster hp’s etc, and a dm screen with stuff i dont really need like what is “small” and what is “gargantuan” and how long does it take to travel (and also price lists with i think is useful). Do you have basic stat blocks for monsters and do you customise them? What are the basics and how do you customize. And just mostly: how do you keep it small and simple and usable. - lists with your favorite books and movies. (This is probably an admin thing, to just flesh out all the aftershows etc and make the list. Probably a craigslist thing :p ) You guys are amazing and you have brought so much giggles to my adult life, thank you!!!! (I regularly quote you guys, and nobody gets it but i laugh a lot on my own that way).

Taco Dragons

100% more role playing stuff. Loved this

Jesse Barbour

More of just Amanda and Anthony Please!

Jamboleigh

Amanda is the bomb.com! Would *love* any collab with the brains behind Real Housewives of DND

Beck Webster

This was so fun!! Please do this one again :) would love to see more stuff like this!

Bearonavirus

Usually I enjoy Amanda being on the show and this was mostly no different but I dont get why she made the Yeti so apologetic like lets just get a lil more ruthless with it

Patchwork Productions

Dillin here! Absolutely wild to hear you play our game!!! This was a huge treat to stumble upon months later. The autumnal yeti and greta ending was so good!!!
