#GamerTips: This game has no censors - you can make some wild things and add some spicy words. Also if you want two miis to interact but the one you drop doesn't want to talk, pick up and drop the other mii instead.

The reason Monkey Default can't leave is because he's never been to the mainland. I too tried to make another commmunity isolated from the rest. If someone is transplanted in, they can pop in and out. But the Miis that were created on that new island ddon't know the main island exists.
