Adrián Lopez

i’m literally in shock from how good that ending was oh my god

CaroCaroCaro

I kinda think AMOD is a perfect miniseries experience. It’s great

Golden_Grimm

Very good ending to this minisodes

Rob Greve

Isn't the double numbers the tens and the 0 thru 9 the singles. Because by your logic you would be rolling a 00 plus 0 would be zero. So you can either go 0 to 99 or 01 to 100. Because 00 plus 01 would be one for the 1 to 100 scale

Ilana Galpert

00+0 is 10, 0 on a d10 has always been 10

Ilana Galpert

like, 00 on a percentile and 9 on a d10 is 9, right? so how can 00 and 0 be 100? you're adding 1, and it jumps from 9 to 100?

Rob Greve

How would you get a hundred then?

Ilana Galpert

90 and a 10 on the d10. Like I said, percentile dice are stupid, but this is the only way the math checks out.

Rob Greve

You have 2 ten sided die. 0-99 is one hundred possibilities. 01-100 is one hundred possibilities. You can roll a ten by 10 +0 ten. I think we are just discussing different ways to approach it at this point.

Ilana Galpert

if you treat the 00 as a 100 only if you roll a 0 on the d10, that would work ok--as long as you apply the rule consistently it would work fine

Levi

the DOODLER will come. Hail Cthulhu. Hail the DOODDLER!

Levi

All hail the randomness

Levi

Behold the randomness!

George Thomas

00 0 is 100, however 00 with 1-9 is 1-9. the percentile isn't 'adding' its just the leading digit, there is no way to have a leading digit for 100, but 0 can't be rolled so they link up :)

Kerro

just relistened - holds up so well. thank u guys for the chaos

Lilyannifer

This miniseries is SO good! I've never had any patience for Lovecraft (or for the serious fans of his work I have encountered) so getting that freaky somehow both claustrophobic and cosmic horror without needing any Lovecraftian context was a treat.

Risotto

highly appreciate Anthony's acknowledgement of yakuza 0

JeboyHidde

Is the song available for download somewhere? It is great!

Chris Worthington

He must have turned into a problematic vampire or something

Lady Tano

This was great! So glad I joined the Patreon!

Lady Tano

Also...more Cthulhu please!!!

Leah L

THAT WAS AMAZING

Yoka

Was the VO improve or was it pre written?

arcsi

ok i gotta know: what was the blank slate thing stud did at the end?? im an actor and for the life of me can’t figure out what beth was referencing

petra

my best guess was waving her hand in front of her face, like how you wipe your expression off your face to get in the zone maybe?

Jacob Stringer

This was the greatest miniseries. So happy I grabbed a sub

Nick

bandcamp maxton waller

Alb the Builder

climax hits different after season 2 😂 like Dood nooooooo

Garrett Durham

I feel so bad for Matt’s character. He was doing so good. So close to getting out of there

Laura

Joined for just this story so good, very fun and funny. Anthony’s ability to evoke the lovecraftian horror is astonishing. I want more period pieces please

Stephanie Newbon

How did it take me so long to listen to this

David Mena Marín

I legit joined for this, and holly crap it was the right choice...

Daemonized

Best 5 dollars of my life

here to suffer

I looked up what was while listening and google finished with 'the Manhattan project?' so now I'm scared

Sergey J. van Daalen

I very recently stumbled upon this podcast. And I’ve spend over 30 hours listening to this podcast… In four days… You bring out the nerdness in me and make my day lighten up. I have to give you pro’s for what you are doing. Thanks and keep it up. Even ones that are as sickening as Mountains of Dadness.

Ray Barrie

I was listening in a work vehicle while driving on the interstate. One bit in the last quarter had a bang and the sound of glass shattering, and I legitimately thought someone crashed into the car. Lost a few years off my lifespan. Fantastic episode!

Raymond Orosco

now i gotta watch season 2 before this ep because of that one comment. cant wait im super excited

Lilyannifer

It’s a classic mime thing, which also gets referenced in old silent movies and in theater classes. You have a neutral expression, and as you move your hand across your face change to an extreme emotion— joy or horror or grief— and as you pass your hand back and forth you change expression. Like your hand is wiping the expression off of your face, if that makes sense.

Andy Brunstein

They did actually have fax machine like telegrams they were wide spread and good quality having by been around for 100 years by this point!

Blaubeere

This was so so cool !

Glorpo

excellente

Cole Baldridge

It feels weird hearing Freddy have luck left to spare with the current state of the main podcast (episode 6 just recently hit and was a banger) lol

David Resoluth

Amazing all throughout! 🐙 The rolls! 🎲 The ending! 😱

LN

Every time I listen I get chills when Beth says the name of the creature

Collin Mason

YES Anthony! i LOVE an emperor's new groove reference!

TheNewMilkMan

Wow so Daryl decapitating the Drow with a shotgun in Season 1 was an inherited skill

Reese V

What an ending 😭😭

Evrin Wolfe

Aww Will choosing to heal Stud's blindness is so kind, I love it

Bearonavirus

"Now is the time to use your luck" Beth: and I took that personally

XheanortXIII

How do you write this!? Wow just wow

Shoshitake Takeyani

The body horror in this series is truly horrific and I wish there was more of it. This is the spectacle of nightmares I want to achieve in my writing

Milkman Maya

Made the patreon jump in order to listen to this, and I do not regret it damn..

Andrew

You made the right choice.

Garrett Dunning

Big round of applause for the cast!!!!! And holy heck what a good DM. The scene with Robert shaking hands in the end lowkey makes me tear up each time👏

Average Prismy

Anyone who hasn't made the Patreon Leap is really missing out on this amazing experience

Gabby Robinson

Now that I've finished season 1 and hearing what the movie was about feels kind of like foreshadowing to me 😆

Krryptiid

Oh my god. GUNKATA

Zac

Holy crap. That ending

Bearonavirus

Hitler was coming off of being 1938's Man of the Year. Prior to September, he was feeling pretty nice I would assume

Nirta

🤯🤯

Diego Cruz

Coming back to this after the pull in season 3 and knowing that this is cannon link between season 1 (which means 2 aswell) the peachyville horror will later experience our favorite daddies consequences

Matthew Morse

Robert Turning into John Wick in the fight will never not be hilarious to me

Travis

How do I join the discord?

Sam

As someone who lives right next to Oakridge, all I can think is man the place with my favorite Chinese Buffet is a bit fucked.

Ronauk Sikandar

The clarinet in the cover song got my husband to pull out his clarinet and start practicing again! Thank you 💙

Nolan

Will’s Jung joke was genuinely painful. I love that his response was fuck yo

Cryptidwithacappuccino

I’m still relatively new to the Patreon and am working my way through bonuses while I wait for the latest ep, and this was fantastic!! It’s masterfully made, and really hits differently with the contest of the other seasons. Thank you 🙏 😁

Lyle Martin

Thanks for the quick response guys and gals!

Eric Harrison

I thought it was part of the scene really!!!!

Bob McCoog

Y'all are incredible! Thank you for your dedication to us as well by providing solutions when things don't plan out so well. I'll be upgrading my Patreon because y'all are just that awesome!

Lulu Bert

Like real dads, you see a problem, you fix a problem!

John A Meadows

Just finished listening to it and you all were absolutely wonderful. Definitely made me enjoy my night!

Matt

Any chance we could get a talking granddads? I’d love to hear what you guys thought about the ending/where it fit into the story big picture for the dads.

James Emmerson

I don't want to spoil things for anyone who hasn't listened yet, but the final sequences are so good and speaks to how well everyone picked up this sysyem, but especially shout out to Anthony preparing certain *spoiler* details so well. Y'all did excellent on these.

Matt

You guys are the best

Matt

I’ve hooked half my squadron of pilots on your podcast already. It’s so damn good

Dave Fogelson

I wrote this in the gameplay cut thread, can Robert Wilson appear to Daryl the next time he calls on his ancestors?

Madeline

This is incredible. What a fantastic finale!! I almost threw up! (I mean that in THE BEST way) I normally can't handle horror (obviously), but you kept this so interesting and entertaining, that despite the queasiness i felt, it was worth it to find out what happened. Absolutely terrifying. 10/10

Nathan Hilton

This was an amazing episode! I hope they continue to make side stories like this!

Kodee Koch

Just listened to all 3 episodes in 2 days! Wow.. what an exciting story! What edition of CoC were you playing? Thinking about getting it for my own collection.

MLEbug

That. Was. AWESOME!!!

Chloe Patton

This is mindblowingly incredible

Elizabeth Singer

I love love love this series. It has inspired me to play call of Cthulhu and really get ready for my roaring twenties New Years party. At/around minute 43 Freddie interrupts Meryl Streep and I was lmfao

Kyle Strand

Excellent side story, can't wait for our CoC game.

2026-09-17 00:00 Spoilers below!!! Okay so Robert's girlfriend is pregnant with Darrel's dad, Meryl presumably impregnated some girl who will give birth to Glenn's mom or dad, and Stud already has Willy who will grow up to be Ron's dad. How exactly does Hildy fit into Henry's family tree? Did she have a secret child she never told anyone about? Spoilers above!!
2019-12-05 03:06

Todd Forsyth

Judging by how much d100 they were using probably 7. It's pretty good and there's a free starter set online

Nick Forche

Great show again guys. Anthony is a great dm and y’all hilarious

Russell

1h34 got so dark omg

Russell

WHAT A SOLID SERIES.. yoh guys.. loved this

Audrey McKenzie

I screamed at the reveal at the end and scared my cats. This is spoilerish but it would be wild if Hildy ended up in the forgotten realm and Henry meets his distant cousin while he’s here.

Cat

I was wondering this too!

Zane Suarez

Where are parts one and two of this?

Zane Suarez

Thanks! I just ended up refreshing the app and they popped up in my feed. I'm absolutely loving this story and the game system!

Kurt Wright

Maybe they already have...

Kurt Wright

She might have survived.

Everett Park

This playthrough was amazing!!!!! The reviel of who the elder one was great, I laughed so hard, so good.

Jon Melchiade

Holy shit. What a fucking ending and twist.

riley hart

Absolutely amazing! God damn what an absolute heart pounding ending!!

Sean Zenitram

So great, these 3 episodes alone EASILY worth the patreon subscription.

conrad

Just got a job and now can afford to subscribe on Patreon. The sound effects are amazing. This miniseries is mind-blowingly good.

xXw3as3lXx .

Matt messed me up with the engagement ring.

Vonn Frey

how do I git mountains of madness? I'm making an RPG and I think it would be a good base.

Bumblebee_Minipainting

THIS WAS INSAAAAAAAANE!!!!!! The twist end with the deity was so god dang funny I was cryyyyying

Cole and Kenzie Weatherbee

I was listening to this at work and people looked at me weirdly when I reacted crazy to Stud’s double 3 roll!

Lexie Love

Hildy is Henry Oak's grandmother so if I had to guess she already had Henry's mother/father but never mentioned it. And there's no way she survived considering everyone**SPOILER ALERT** got sucked up by that box that kept the god.

Kingzley Sparkman

This was amazing! I hate horror but man this had men all the way through.

Justin Sciullo

I neeeeed to have more this was so entertaining!

Pyyromth

that hell of an ending, I almost fell over on the last roll

Nick Bidaurreta

Why did I wait so long to listen to this? It was amazing!

Johnny George

I joined this Patreon earlier tonight after listening to the first episode of this Campaign on the podcast and by god that ending was so worth the $10.

Alex Podcast

I legit just listened to this prequel series TWICE back to back. It was so good. I really enjoyed this so much.

Olivia Marino

By the end I was SCREAMING Thoroughly enjoyed this.

BumblingRose

Joined patreon a month or so ago. Then realized I really needed to listen to these before going any farther in the vault with Henry. Holy 6-shooters. You all are amazing. But now I’m scared! I need to see if the theme songs are part of the patreon swag. Or whatever f I can buy them. Both versions are SO awesome.

Emily Wallick

This was absolutely amazing. Please do more stuff like this for the other Dads too!!

MoMoney

The TWIST at the end?? MASTERFUL. I screamed and said “YOU ARE KIDDING ME WTF?!” Absolutely adored this campaign.

Zachary Szpila

Amazing campaign. Loved it from start to finish. The parallels between the Grandads and the Dads was masterful.

Hina Hanta

"J. J. Abrams walks over to you, Meryl Streep- This is the dumbest podcast of all time"

Ashley Nicollette

Thank you! That's great to hear: you're going to love our new quarterly drop then... 😉

“Some graphite rods-“ “Not great, not terrible.” Whoever said that: I heard you, and I admire you

Taryn King

I totally agree, I just got the patreon a week ago and decided to listen to this first and omg it was worth the $10. It's just so great.

Give me more of this <3 loved every ep

wes

i just want to see what stud stampler did in the forgotten realms, bc theres a chance he made it alive like hilde! Thanks for doing this guys it was a fun time (:

Maxime Coulombe

After going through the whole show 4 times I'm finally looking at your exclusive content, and I must say so far so good

Min

Holy moly this was so good, so spooky and gross. The soundscape added so much.

Isaac Lower

You have to get to about ep. 43 in the regular series and they explain the oak family lore.

Caitlin Rochlin

I posted this comment like a year before that episode came out 😆

Leah

Holy hell this was AMAZING. I loved how everything wrapped up, great work as always you guys

Ardin

As I'm now all caught up and feel lost, I finally took a listen to this as well as the episodes close to when these actually took place and HOLY MAYHEM im so absolutely giddy at that ending. Yall have no idea how much I love this and how much I needed this. Absolutely wonderful 🤌

Phillip McCall

Was finishing up this series as I was passing by the exit sign to Oak Ridge on my home. Got a little spooked.

Lauren Gilmore

History teacher here- the reference to the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact made my jaw drop and made me laugh harder than I've laughed... well since the last episode of DandDads dropped.

Kim Lineberger

The music this episode made me strangely homesick.

Alan

Shot in the dark, but question for Anthony. Would it be possible to get this adventure as a written module? I would love to run my play group through it.

Seth Lerner

This was so incredible. I can’t say how much I enjoyed it. God damn you guys are talented. Please more spooky adventures with this system!

Seth Lerner

Special shout-out for the editing and sound design. Absolutely brought it to the next level. God damn Freddie you are talented!

Michael Singer

Daddies, rolling a D100 is a spectrum from 1-100, it’s not a spectrum of 0-99 lmao, Matt rolled a 100 not a 0, he got the best possible

Aidan Bettis

But in this game you want to roll as low as possible so a 100 is the worst fail possible

Awkward Kat

Someone may have said this already but PSA: please don't put comic books (or other paper collectibles) In safe deposit boxes. They are not temperature or humidity controlled and could damage paper goods stored longterm. I work in a bank and have heard of 1st edition books being destroyed after being left for 10-20 years

Awkward Kat

Also, loved these bonus episodes. Super creepy, excellent sound effect usage too :) More please (I'm still not caught up on the regular series yet but still more cool side stories and creepiness)

Rambling Rose

This is my, like, third relisten? It is SO good, and so incredibly cinematic. The descriptions and series of events are SO narratively tight, and the sound effects usage was fantastic. So well done, all

Blake Roberts

This was worth the price of admission on its own, holy shit.

Perish4Kick

Been re-listening a bunch, but still not clear on what happened to Double J after he was cheering for the box to open?

Taylor Wilkinson

Weird thing about the brain damage discussion in this episode. One time while I was playing rugby in highschool, a guy on the other team got kneed in the face real hard(was accidental) and was unconscious for 5 minutes. I know this because I helped the one physio that was there(was a certified lifeguard) once it happened and was the one on the phone with the ambulance dispatcher.

2026-09-17 00:00 Who else is re listening to this during the end of Feb 2022? 😅
2022-02-26 07:35

Blake Cannon

Just joined the Patreon so I could hear this. I've been listening to the Daddies story over and over. So glad I joined for all the extra content.

Grayson

Just listening for the first time, haha. *sob laugh*

Spinnaker

Great show! You sly dogs made me join the patreon to hear the rest of it :D

Kitty

this let me breathless in both the best and worst way possible. holy SHIT.

Sebby

I WAS ON THE VERGE OF A HEART ATTACK AT THE END!!!! This series was so good!!!

Lienisaur

If i remember correctly Hitler already invaded austria and just said oopsie and the allied looked the other way.

Melissa

This was amazing!!

Reece but spelled Rhys

The last 10/15 minutes of this was the most intense thing i've listened to in a long time! Now to continue with my first listen of the first campaign. You guys are amazing

Sam Graine

Note to self, don't listen this alone at 2 in the morning in a dark room. Very spooky, very good. The sound design in this one really stuck out to me.

WickedChild95

I like how Ron Stampler is more of a mantle passed between people rather than something in a bloodline.

Tuomas Hämäläinen

Had to join Patreon to listen last 2 Episodes while waiting on new S2 EP. This was truly amazing story and IT really pulled you into it. I would LOVE to see another one with this system

Hailey Koart

Even literal years later, this mini-series holds up. Listening with the context of the Doodler now in 2022 is wildddd. Thanks for such a fun arc!

Arienna Castro

So glad I joined Patreon to listen to these episodes. So worth it.

Aaron Sterne

Studs rolls at the End had me hooting and hollering like I just scored a soccer goal. Amazing stuff guys!

The Overthinker

"I'm Thomas, and this is my tank engine." Full spit take. At work.

Ilana Galpert

No Michael I think you were right. Or half right. A 00 is 0, a 0 on a d10 is 10. He rolled 10. Rolling a hundred would be 90 + 0 (90+10.) I know it's a year later, I'm rolling through the backlog lol

Ilana Galpert

pretty sure a 00+0 is 10, because a 90+10 would be 100

Ilana Galpert

If 00 were 100, it would be impossible to roll 1-10. And if there's a weird exception where 00 is 100 on the condition that the d10 rolled a 10, then there is no way to roll a 10 using percentage dice.

Ilana Galpert

percentile dice are stupid like that
