I did it for almost all of high school and then coached it when I graduated it’s still a fantastic program!

Wow, I grew up in Destination Imagination too...AND it sounds like I competed in Knoxville in that same challenge competition if it was the one where you had to shoot objects from the vehicle from different locations on the Game Board into the Receiver Zone. I wonder if I saw Will's performance?!

Matty Major

This podcast has been instrumental in inspiring to get back to improv. Is improv cringe? Absolutely. Is there any more freeing feeling than being an unhinged chuckle duck goblin on stage? Yes. Improv still rips ass.

Necro I know BUT c**t is 100% a bad word in England 😱 but badasses say it a lot in lower class London with a strong London common accent 😂

Daniel Roberts

Core memory unlocked. But in Oz it's called tournament of the minds. Such a great time as a kid. Also as long as you add another word to c#@t it's fine. This c#$t Mad c÷=t Dog c#@t

Alvin Bo Balvin

"Haha, Bespoke" 🤣 Beth May cracks me up!

Caleb Crawford

I was working at my desk and outwardly guffawed at that one. 😆

Caleb Crawford

I'm totally with you there. I would actually love that. I would want another podcast because these episodes are too short.

DJCay

In honor of Glenn, I was the 420th like

Rachel Luna

As a Houstonian whose friends all did OM, I now have a deeply parasocial need to know what middle school Will went to.

Rachel Luna

Also OM was the coolest fucking thing and I have been pissed my parents couldn’t take me for two decades now.

Isabella

14:25 Will yelling WHOA fucking killed me

Morgan D

The C word is still bad in the UK lets say its not allowed at work 🤣🤣🤣

it's interesting and very relatable (with the exception of Freddie) how each of y'all have a different way to deal with performance anxiety. Matt: Zones out as a defense mechanism. given your sheer charisma, you basically go Avatar State the way you double down into your characters and performance Will: Is basically a trained professional when it comes to dealing with performance anxiety or stage fright, but also one of the most anxious when it comes to the RESULT of his performance. seemingly like you have the feeling that " you have all the tools to succeed so you MUST succeed" Beth: Is very similar to Matt, but differs in the fact that you seems to have something you crave in an expression through performance. That shows through passion and vibration in your performance. Freddie: Is horrifying comfortable with stage performance, and it doesn't seem normal. Your genetics has the key to curing anxiety or something. You do your absolute best at everything that you do and that's enough validation for you. That's hella impressive. Anthony: Seem to dive deep into the subject of the performance so that you can disassociate from your presence. so the anxiety of the performance itself is dulled and can be vented through snarky humor. The place where your discomfort comes into full swing is when compliments are given. You seem to refuse to revisit the memories of your accomplishments with positive feedback maybe because you feel like it's boasting. You seem to have more interest in "getting the performance over with or getting your work done asap" then building on it to become better later and only feel like you can do that through criticism. Y'all do an absolutely great job. I love this show so much. Thank you for making it what it is.

This is the first time I've ever heard someone talk about OM outside of the event. My dad has been their event planner for them and I worked an event in Knoxville years ago.

Allison Davis

I'm from Knoxville and I had no idea that that was a thing.

Kevin C Jourden

So I have a question, was scam likely simply disguised as Benedict cabbage-patch, a separate person? Or is Benedict cabbage-patch and scam likely the same person? I'm wondering who is now the leader of the bad dogs if Benedict/scam likely is now dead

Permelia

I would absolutely still sit in the front row

Nick

Can someone please track down that clip of Freddie at the Dice Awards? Hahaha

Nick

Solid laugh, thank you. 😂😂

Nick S

True Neutral is an ideal DM. Not the only ideal DM, but definitely a good one.

Ezra Rosenbaum

let me just say will, I fucking hate you for the final comment on this episode. I lost the game.

Alex Demers

Question for the next session, hopefully: What are the dad's relationships with youtube and/or snapchat?

Christopher Pete

Fellow OMer checking in-- OM was awesome! Surprisingly, I think Will went to the world finals in Tennessee the same year as my older sister

Dungeons and Daddies

I pushed through it faster than I remember but you can definitely hear people going OHHHHH in the background

Audrey McKenzie

My dad’s a prepper dad! I remember him prepping in 2012, he got a bunch of rice, beans and canned goods, as well as a really big water purifier. We had one of those big barrel drums in our back, but I’m not sure if he ever filled it with water. Anyways, he was preparing for a case where we couldn’t leave the house or at least the ground was no longer viable for growing crops. That was my experience, there might be other reasons preppers go for canned good. Also, question, who would the other dads choose as their ancestral protector?

Reece Page

The word C**t is ABSOLUTELY not an acceptable one in the UK lol!!!! Made me spit my lunch out when that was said

FoxDeploy

This ep and talking dad's episodes earlier than ~30 don't appear in the patreon feed :(

Trey

I would listen to a podcast that was just the five of you talking as friends

millenniumhooha

Well it definitely is in Scotland, idk where you live in the UK lol

Finn Sparger

Odyssey of the Mind is now called Destination Imagination and is still running

Sigyn's Song

didn't the epilogue take place at the oak-garcia house? so the gang has seen those paintings?

Emma Eickert

Darryl and Carol started dating when Daryl was a freshman in high school and Carol was in 8th grade. So you’re telling me that was their first Valentine’s Day together????? When they were so young???

Charles O.

Explains why they went straight to the confessional

Sabrina

Freddie is literally a born chaotic entertainer, I love him

Salem Karr

The Destination Imagination deep cut really caught me off guard
