We talk about the beans. Also, our pun titles and our influences.

Spoiler Alert! Do NOT listen to these until you've finished Season 1! Because we're recorded these much later, we talk about (and potentially spoil) events that happen throughout the entire first season.

I think Anthony saying "okay so first, three things that don't matter at all happen." Might be my favorite line of the entire pod

Elijah Andrade

The amount of care taken for each episode combined with the shear randomness of the improv and dice rolls blends to create the perfect storm. I have found the story to move me to tears, both through laughter and "the feels."

The pyramid: I remember I was listening in the kitchen cooking dinner and KEELED over hysterically laughing for like… a SOLID 5minutes. I was so overwhelmed with emotion and SO intrigued how Anthony was gonna explain, and SOOOO impressed with his “alright here we go” attitude. It was pivotal in motivating me to become a DM. I had to pause the episode and just sit for a bit to stop laughing and emotionally catch up. It was BONKERS I had a friend start listening, and every time she reported about an episode I just wanted to burst out “HAVE YOU GOTTEN TO THE PYRAMID YET!?!??”

The pyramid scene is what got me into Dungeons and Daddies and IM SO GLAD IT DID. I saw a clip of it on TikTok I think and it was so funny the way the scene plays out I was like well I HAVE to check this out. And I've never looked back ;)

Lauren

I would listen to Beth talk about twilight for HOURS

Toni Watson

Listening (again) in 2024 only to realise my daughter born this year shares a birthday with Dot 🎉

Bearonavirus

S.W.AP. should be "Switched With Another Pop"

Marissa Y.

"If you can't satisfy yourself and everyone in the room, then you're doomed" Still not a BDSM podcast.

cronomagnis

This reminded me there used to be a Juice Monster (hate how they put that in the wrong order) called papillion

K Mannnnn

Went to catholic high school, and in religion class we had a debate about the morality of Edward loving Bella and all about how he doesn't love her because the only thing he actually wants to do is kill her. The high school girls were ADAMANT that that is true love and the priest who was teacher tried to convince us that isn't love. If that isnt a moment in my life to look back on and say "we were so stupid" I dont know what is!

Bob

I'm just listening to this because I miss Ralph Esteraius :(

Kat

Thank you so much for these almost daily eps to start off the new year! Really helping to keep my spirits up! Loved the Twilight talk at the end, thank you Beth May for my LIFE! 💖

Sydney Wigder

what brand of beans were they though

Jesse Meiring

Not assuming that comments will drive these sort of decisions, but if Season 2 doesn't come out for a while to preserve the vacuum from the audience, go for it. Y'all know when you got something good going.

Cactus Pear

As long as they're responsive to the audience later, I totally think they should take the first six episodes to just be in their world without getting feedback from us. ...other than the submission form, of course. I've put a ton of great stuff into the submission form already so they'll be set... ...USE MY IDEAS (low-key, half-playing... but for real)

Jesse Meiring

Holy shit a Hello from the Magic Tavern crossover would be amazing and insane

btheist

we need a debate me coward style bonus of beth talking about all of the twilight movies

Javan K

LOVE Hello from the Magic Tavern What’s funny is I discovered them after Dungeons and Dads and loved their energy because it reminded me of your guys’ dynamic. Small world. So thankful for you guys

Jenica

The name Renesmee is how you know for sure Stephenie Meyer went to BYU. Utah Mormon culture pushes hard on giving your baby a unique name, so Salt Lake City is probably the toughest city in the world for substitute teachers doing roll call. Tambyrlee, Braxtis and Joben would not bat an eye at Renesmee.

I’m a die hard naddpod fan (finishing my 4th listen through of campaign one) and Freddie just hit the mail on the head for something that’s always been a tad bit unsettling about their audio mixing. It’s also why the trinyvale stuff sounds way better to me (since there’s a different editor.) one of the things I hope they’ll do going into their next campaign is outsource the sound design and let murph do what murph does best.

Kamiah Overaa

Pls can we have a Twilight watch along bonus xxxxxxx

The half drunk bearded halfling who thinks he’s a dwarf

I listened to hello from the magic tavern since day zero( and I’m in the uk) and you’re 100% right, they did it so right… still you guys are my go to for relistens by far, just do you and no matter what you’ll be treated like the freakin legends you are( you’ve built on the others and brought joy to a world needing the dadness truly)

Marley

Trinyvale also came to mind when Anthony was talking about enjoying campaigns where it's just pieces of shit being pieces of shit

Jake

Watching through the entirety of the show for a 3rd time, but this time with Talking Dads. Honestly I’m LOVING these retrospective talking dads.

Theo Davis

Now I just want a podcast where Beth talks about her favorite Twilight scenes 😂 like she's right, those movies are batshit in the best way

TheDerpySunflower

I remember this episode so vividly because when i listened the first time, I was driving. I laughed so hard I cried and I almost had to pull over because I couldnt see. The pyramid is my favorite thing to come out of the random objects. The idea of a huge sticky pyramid popping into existence makes me lose it every time.

goblinqueen

Can we please have a Beth special where she reviews vampire movies with you? 😂

King Humble

This makes me want a Lost Boys one-shot so much

Bishini

PLEEEASE do a Twilight watch along. Those movies absolutely hilarious

Natake

Dude I can't explain how perfect the title Carry On My Wayward Son is
