I do think that DND Beyond tends to Roll better more often than not. I used it in a few games and my DM was genuinely shocked at how good I was rolling. I started using physical dice and it leveled out.

My heart was breaking for Grant. And yet… I do wonder how therapy/counseling post season 1 and this season would have actually worked for any of the OG characters. Like how much does San Dimas/this version of California know about the reality of DaddyMagic, the “sauce” etc.? If Grant as a teen had tried to talk about his trauma in detail would a mental health professional truly believe him or (with probably good intentions) over-medicate him and misdiagnose him because of this alternate world he’s convinced he and his friends went to? Could Grant ever be vulnerable & open with a non Dad/son character? And Even if the Wilson’s found a skilled therapist, once that sky turned red, do you think they shifted back into a survival mode? Like 24/7 fight, flight, or freeze? Would Daryl have kept pushing/delaying treatment because it felt like the world was literally ending? (“Hey, son, let’s wait until the world is safe again, okay? We gotta fix this problem first.”) And if adult Grant has made any breakthroughs or grown in emotional health, he currently has NO access to a therapist, he’s cut off from his family/support system, and it sounds like the magic is breaking down healthy mental boundaries for this season’s dads. In real life, CBT is a great approach (one technique I’m most familiar with) but some lies are hard to fully eradicate in isolation. TL;DR The psychological horror aspect of the story is fantastic. Metacognition might not work against pocket dimension magic. And Anthony is an evil, evil genius.

I just have to say that Normal's mom gives off the most chaotic vibes. Like, ice cream empire, casually yells about masturbating, slept with Lark and Sparrow, sometimes teaches at the high school, and has this weird affection for centrism, just Mr. Fischeoder from Bob's Burgers, ramped way the fuck up haha. By far the most interesting NPC to me
