I'm not a fan of super limited time merch in general. As was mentioned elsewhere, people who need to wait for a paycheck can't participate. It leaves out anyone who doesn't have the cash right this moment, doesn't see the email until late, lives in a very different time zone, etc. While I don't think this is what the D&D folks are going for, the practice is basically weaponizing FOMO to get people to spend money when they might not do so if they had more time to think about it. So, tl;dr, super short merch drops=bad.

I truly love the acronym. But @b.kern is right. Perhaps instead of taking it away 4 ever. You can come back a few weeks later and drop it again and leave it in the store? Idk. I do love the merch and this team exploring different ideas. I know u cant please everyone, but the superb content in store and in podcast really sets the daddy pod cast apart feom the rest imo

nooo I just listened to the first 15 mins of the new episode and I unfortunately understand the sonic sticker. I do like the limited time merch idea! but maybe tell us before hand in your monthly scheduling posts so we know when to keep an eye out?

I think limited merch drops can be pretty neat, but one day drops are way too short of a window. I think a week or even a two week period still gets the idea of limited merch while still being practical and available

I agree… I wish they waited a little bit! They weren’t massive jokes to be spoiled, but it’s less funny to listen to a jokes buildup if you already know what the punchline will be. Like I bet the sonic waiter dick thing would have been hysterical if it caught you off guard.

I totally hear what you're saying Kern (or should I say Cern) but understand ... This is a next generation preorder situation, not a limited merch drop. They are going to take the money from the orders and then go to print. It's like a co-op, but for Sonic's pixilated dick.

notifications are definitely helpful! but since it was such a short time frame of one day, it can be easy to miss. it’d be nice to know before hand when the drop will happen so we can better prep and budget for it. or maybe a bit longer drop period could be helpful too

Echoing all the above comments, but one day is too short. I often don’t listen on release day because my particular neurotic listening habits have me “save” favorite podcasts for later. So, if I listen immediately it’s kind of an insult? (Or I just have way too much free time)
