Hello everyone,

Something to make you wait until my return on Monday, I've finally received the latest art commission! This is a special one to thank my fellow author Nihilea for his support, representing a certain Summoner with her two favorite eidolons ;)

In any case, let me know in the comments the characters you would like to see illustrated in the next commissions. Noble Heroes, Zodiac Fiends, Dark Eidolons, Cobweb, White Unicorn, I'm open to everything.

Best regards, and see you on Monday,

Voidy.

Zodiac Fiends please

mhaj58

I want to see human Elios

Logan

Sick art, seeing the zodiac fiends would be awesome too. Can we get all the art so far in a separate collection? It’s kind of a pain scrolling through everything on patreon whenever I want to look at the old ones again

Juliano Wic

Radical. Zodiac Fiends, for sure. Helel in her holy glory would be my pick.

The Real Zizmon

I wish she was more bratty but this is good too

shep McCauley

I wonder if regular eidolons can be fused as well. Maybe the 5 guardian beast ones will fuse into a megazord later.

Will

I vote for the Zodiac fiends

Void Herald

Done. I swear Patreon's interface is so goddamn counterintuitive XD

Logan

You da best

Nihilea

It turned out amazing!

Steven

The Hater himself, worst dad of the century, Balzam Magnos.

Colm Ryan

Any chance of a world map?

Misatek

I want to see the noble heroes we haven't seen depicted yet.

granndfunk

I want to see Family Game Night at the Magnos house.

Navarog

? They are crazy...

Nightmare Lore

Zodiac Fiends or Dark Eidolons. Either or.

Void Herald

I don't think this artist would be a good fit (he's amazing for monsters though) but I'll look into it ;)

Void Herald

Already shown in the Magnos gallery, check the art collection ;)

Sahrami

I would kinda love to see Simon in the Overlord God form. Somehow I picture Balsam looking like Ganishka from berserk as he's the chest piece. We kinda get to see all of the overlords at the same time.

Ikra

Asterion is saner than many

Nightmare Lore

Not really since all his solutions just lead to his Fear. The Inevitable End Of Us All.

Oreo

It seems Zodiac fiends are going to win. Still I want to give my vote for Coweb, they're so annoying that I want a picture to hate them better

Alibhai

I have an idea that I think is a bit different from what everyone else has recommended. I would like to see a portrait of Simon's inner desire the one with him in power and the world at peace. The presence of harem members I will leave up to the artist's judgement.

CentaureHeart

That's the best art so far for me

anon

oh no, she's hot!

Jasus

Yeah the Phoenix is really hot. They are associated with fire after all.

We need the White Unicorn for all the AI Memes and shit posts.

Trigger warning: yapp sesh I have made a list of spells Simon should have at this point. These spells are based on two criteria: impact, meaning how useful the spell would be in practice, and doability, meaning how realistic it would be to create the spell given Simon's current situation and our understanding of Miasma. As you will come to see, most of these are both very useful and very realistic for Simon to have at this point in time. 0) Miasma Crystal/Bomb Before we start with actual spells, we need to work out Simon's mana issues. Especially with Eidolons, Simon seems to be having trouble powering his casting, which is a problem when we are considering more spells that would add additional costs. The solution is simple: Simon should design "Miasma Crystals" into which he can dump his excess Miasma, so his daily regeneration isn't wasted. These can then be stored in his Inventory and taken out to power his casting as needed. As he is unlikely to be capable of using 6-24 months' worth of Miasma before dying, some portion of the Miasma Crystals should be converted into Miasma Bombs. These should be rather self-explanatory. Ideally, Simon would store them in his Inventory together with flying undead constructs; during a fight, he can release them as basically drones carrying Miasma ordnance, both for explosions and for preparing the environment with Miasma. 1) Dark Fog/Aura of Miasma I've talked about this in the Sniper Tactics section, but a spell that simply summons a fog of Miasma would be incredibly useful for Simon to have. Needless to say, this is likely the simplest Miasma spell imaginable, so it should be very doable. In practice, it would help Simon deal with ranged attacks, multiple attackers, or even teleporting opponents such as Adventurer. You can't combat teleportation very well when you can't see shit. Miasma has intrinsic anti-divinatory and other properties that make it much better at obstruction than standard smoke, making this far more useful than a standard smoke screen. Since the spell is giga-basic, Simon could likely deploy it with additional effects, such as buffs for Miasma creatures, giving himself the ability to see through Miasma, anti-mana effects, the ability to withstand attempts at removing it (i.e. wind), and so on. An otherwise more advanced form would be Aura of Miasma, which is basically just Simon constantly creating an obstructing fog of Miasma around himself. I have a funny visual of gigantic Simon squatting and farting out a cloud of Miasma. But yeah, sensory obstruction is OP as shit, and this is what Miasma is best at, so use it bozo. 2) Miasmic Imbuement This is a very basic Miasmic stat buff that simply shoves a ton of Miasma into a demonic creature, increasing their size, strength, vitality, and maximum HP. Simon's raw durability has been low-key impressive, so I expect this to have a surprisingly large impact. Since this also increases max HP, it can presumably be used as a Miasmic healing spell for demonic creatures. And yes, this is basically just the baby-spell version of Simon's gigantic combat form, which, hey, works very well when he uses it, so we know this slaps. 3) Beam/Wave of Rust During the past reign, Simon finally realized that he could target mounts. Now it's time to target weapons. Beam and Wave of Rust are Miasmic spells that focus on ruining opponents' weapons and armor, using a focused version of Miasma's usual corruptive properties. Beam is a faster and more focused/powerful version, ideal for destroying an opponent's main weapon during a fight, whereas Wave is an AoE version that boasts less power but greater coverage, making it ideal for dealing with multiple enemies or larger constructs. Outside of sheer practicality of disarming opponents and destroying constructs, this is also one of the few completely non-lethal spells you could do with Miasma, which is always a plus. 4) Shadow Step As we all know, Miasma can't do teleportation, and Simon has to work with Overlord's Call. Shadow Step is basically just Overlord's Call where Simon summons himself nearby, effectively teleporting a short distance. I don't think I need to explain how powerful blink-like abilities tend to be especially since Simon went back to spec some melee, so the only question here is whether Simon can tweak Overlord's Call to be used in this way. My gut says yes. 5) Anti-Mana Shell Similar to Rune of False Weakness, Anti-Mana Shell creates a veil of Miasma around Simon that can trade for a mana spell of the same tier, or multiple spells of lower tiers. Just imagine Simon casting this, Shadow Stepping next to an enemy mage, and while they trade with the Shell, Simon just bonks them with the mace. GG no re. Should be relatively doable. 6) Elemental Body: Miasma The least doable item on this list. Simon transforms his body into Miasma, becoming ethereal and thus intangible, allowing him to phase through walls, floors, and physical attacks. Logia-style intangibility is just a powerful effect in many situations. However, so far we don't have any indication that this is something Simon can actually do. The reason I'm listing this spell despite how unworkable it might be is because it is just so damn cool, man. Just imagine Simon descending in the form of purple-black mist before coalescing into his Overlord form. That's just cool. 7) Painless/Self-Banishment Painless is a personal buff that completely deadens the sense of pain. This is mostly worthless in and of itself, but with Crown of Pain, it could potentially allow Simon to self-banish, provided Simon can target himself. Then he can just pull out a valid target from his Inventory to get himself out. The ability to just phase out of existence is incredibly useful in many situations. Enemy charging their BEAM? Dodge lol. Getting ganked and reinforcements aren't there yet? Timeout lol. Heavily wounded? Fuck off to the Hell realm to heal. Self-Banishment is a Miasmic spell that banishes the caster to the Abyss for the duration of the spell. This accomplishes the same thing as above, except it doesn't require Crown of Pain, and your allies can just summon you out of the Abyss, making it a very potent form of escape. Although unlike Crown, this one is likely affected by anti-teleportation effects. Usually, this kind of dimensional magic would be something I'd consider difficult to accomplish, but between Overlord's Call, Inventory, and Crown of Pain, Simon should have enough dimensional reference points to work this out. At some point, Self-Banishment can also just become Banishment, and Simon can start kicking people he doesn't like into Hell. 8) Mass Brand This is a very simple one. With the latest Perk, Simon got the ability to make his Brands even better, so we could have a situation where he might want to brand hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of soldiers or summons. With that in mind, just develop a spell procedure that would let him brand a bunch of people at once, so he doesn't have to waste time doing one guy at a time. 9) Overlord's Brand Now this one is not so simple. Simply put, Overlord's Brand forcefully Brands a target with a Brand of Simon's choosing. With certain Brands, this is basically immediately lethal against most opponents. What's interesting about this one is that there are many ways you could implement it mechanically. For example, you could have it as a mental attack that compels the target to accept the Brand, which would be the easiest way to implement it. Alternatively, Simon could directly manifest a Miasmic construct that then Brands the target's soul, which would be much more complex way of doing this. One of the main things would also be making the effect ranged, if possible, so Simon can try to apply his Brands as debuffs. Or maybe he could create a spell that Brands people hit by his melee weapons? It should be noted that there is a danger of targets attacking through Brands, so that's always something to keep in mind. 10) Mana-Boosted Miasma Spell And best for the last. As we know, Mana and Miasma boost each other. With that in mind, it should be possible to create a metamagic Mana spell that directly boosts(doubles, if prior examples are anything to go by) the power of any Miasma spell. Now, Simon himself can't generate or use Mana, so he would need external aids. Manaliths are plentiful enough, but he would need to craft some kind of focus that would cast Mana Boost for him. This is likely something that would take an entire reign and the help of Remedia to construct, but the benefits would be massive going forward. I'm imagining some kind of spell gauntlet with a Manalith core that Simon can slot in when boosting a spell. Simon is not beating the "has too many abilities" allegations any time soon lol.
