My final thoughts;: - How come Carol never tried pressing # to bypass the message and get directly to the beep. - That camera microchip she flushes has to come back at some point. - The VIP goes to the little drone that wraps itself around the light pole. Giving me more empathy for a mechanical object. - I am definitely naming my next cat Manousos.

boy don't i have some thoughts what a great season this and severance has be my top shows from apple anyway I knew the minute the people in the village started singing to Kusimaya in her joining ceremony that it would end abruptly after she joined. I was not prepared for how chilling it was. A whole culture, a village of people with a history cut short and sanitized for the sake of a hivemind. And they all leave their livelihoods behind for a 'better' purpose. the theme of this episode, from the crying little goat to Carol’s desperation to believe that she means something MORE to Zosia, is love, and the way the hivemind, which ostensibly represents a “loving” way of life, cannot truly replicate that emotion at all. nothing demonstrates the way Carol’s attitude to the hivemind—to Zosia—has changed more starkly than her jealous-protective girlfriend behaviour in the scene with manousos i couldn't help the scene where zosia is having a seizure but parallel with helen in the first episode that scene with carol busting in the gun holy shit what i love about this moment is that while it's twisted by carol being in a relationship one of the hivemind it's still an extension of who she always was carol doesn't want to hurt people she knows how badly this affects the hivemind and she can't stand to let it happen she couldn't bear the guilt when it was an accident. carol was so protective/defensive of her relationship with zosia to manousos because she knew it was atypical or ‘wrong’ but she didn’t want to admit that to herself, much less him. and it came so easy to her too because that was the nature of her relationship with helen. carol letting herself get so attached to zosia despite knowing that zosia is literally everybody else at the same time yet she was so hurt when she found out they love everyone the same, and she wasn’t unique to zosia. i also thought it was interesting in the montage didn't include a kiss scene because i think we as an audience are meant to feel like something's off and wrong from the moment zosia tells carol that they love manousos the same as they love her. it's meant to be snapshots of a false happiness where we know carol's deluded. also zosia's partner died before the joining i hope we get more backstory on her next season. a good time to point out that during the honeymoon montage, they deliberately show carol not drinking, because she’s finally happy enough that she doesn’t need alcohol to numb herself. i dont think karolina wydra gets enough flowers in her performance as zosia like this woman actually flew an aircraft, taxiied a plane, became a polyglot, portrayed different emotions of 1 billion people all at once not appearing robotic or monotone i also can't stop thinking about the longing look that zosia and carol shared i love how this look is almost an apology from zosia…not exactly for loving carol, or what they’re doing with her eggs, but for the harm that love caused and what further harm it would cause if she stayed pretending she understands this sadness and hurt carol is experiencing here, but at her core she can’t exactly understand how it’s her actions that are causing this pain because she sees their initiative to join her as the best thing ever I think zosia has a lot of empathy but not necessarily feeling the emotion herself because her feelings aren’t unique, she understands the emotions carol is feeling and is almost mirroring it, “sad because carol is sad” but there’s no personal experience, connection or guilt i wonder how this storyline continues will zosia be the first to be un-joined by manousos radio science experiment. tbh im here for the toxic yuri relationship breakup so bad you become the new owner of an atom bomb fun fact (in zosia's voice lol): i have not watched any other show by vince gilligan so i should get a start on breaking bad then better call saul

shaw

They say they can’t hurt people, but you can hear Carol’s heart breaking loud and clear :(‌

When you first mentioned stem cells from her eggs, I snapped my fingers so hard I nearly broke one of them XD. I'm curious if they have stem cells from Manusos. He was in the hospital for a while, he was in a medically induced coma or at least under anesthesia and he was in a lot of pain. So I could see them using that as a loophole to take stem cells from him. The thing that prevents them from taking the cells, is that it's a painful an invasive procedure. He was in a rough shape, he could not consent to it, but I could see them taking the opportunity.

Nice touch playing "Thank You For Being a Friend" when Carol is waking up on the couch and Menusos is about to call Carol

Would Zosia Actual remember anything from her joined life, or would those memories be stored in the Hive cloud mind?

Pete

I think it makes the most sense if they would remember of what they did and experienced, but they'd lose the collective knowledge. So Zoisa would remember everything that "she" did and everything that happened to her. But she would lose the collective knowledge of billions of people. For example, she'd remember that she flew a plane and a helicopter, but the hours and hours of training and experience she had access to when she was joined would go away, so she could not fly those vehicles anymore.

I so hated this season coming to an end because I wanted to continue to enjoy it. Now I don't like that your reaction to this season comes to an end because I want to continue to see your reactions. Thanks so much for your attention to details and giving me an opportunity to experience this great show with you. See you again soon! What's next???

Firstly. What does Apple TV have against goats? First Secerance, now Pluribus. Leave them f alone 😭 10:40 Once she turns, they just pick up everything and move away. That entire place was a theatrics for the hivemind to make that girl join them. It's so funny that Manousos is kind of the male equivalent of Carol. stubborn as hell, and when they finally meet she goes "wow who is this assh0le?" Well, that's exactly how the other survivors felt about you on ep 2, Carol This duo was so funny, i can’t wait for next season “Carol Sturka, what is this?” - "Atom Bomb." I can’t think of a more perfect needle drop for the season.

Are Carol's frozen eggs a work-around for the Hive? "Save the world or get the girl?" Haha...the answer is always: Both but if push comes to shove? The girl (LoLz). Me thinks reality has gone bye-bye for Carol. Their little romantic get-away shows the single biggest problem with the Hive (IMO) - that want/desire/yearning is gone. To me - that is what makes the human experience. It is a work-around! Holy....(BLEEP!) What a way to end it. Honestly, this may be my fave show on the Patreon. For both the show itself which I am so in to and for your reactions. What a trip. How long till the next season? Damn. Definitely going to binge a re-watch. Thanks, Claudie. Cheers!

Cat name makes total sense. Looking down at my sleeping/incapacitated face and yelling at the top of its lungs is exactly the type of thing my cats do. :-)

Kevin

I agree. The hive is conniving and deceitful when they think they can get away with it. It would not surprise me if Manusos and Carol have to rush their plans to destroy the hive in season 2 because it is able to assimilate them both.

Kevin

I'd recommend any Gilligan production. He really is a master of his craft. I hope Claudie is inspired to check out BB and BCS now that she has experienced how "top shelf" (alcohol joke) his work is.

Kevin

@ClaudieTV - First off, amazing reactions to Pluribus. I have watched your other reactions and I'm seeing that the more squealing and "just give me a minute"s you make the better the show is. Since you said you're looking for behind the scenes info. I highly recommend the Pluribus videos from Poggy. He looks at everything from Vince Gilligan's love for "The Twilight Zone" and how that is fundamental to the show to what the Georgia O'keeffe painting that Carol takes home means. Here is a link to his Pluribus playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JvW3pxLW28&list=PLAWA-pKxkzBe1xkidSTjUEsdDvoiZGmEy&index=7 I'd also recommend listening to the official podcast. Every episode gives a little glimpse into how they made the show. Vince Gilligan, the cast, and the production leads really lay out the struggles and the cool stories that make Pluribus what it is. I hope you check out Vince Gilligan's other small unknown shows like "Breaking Bad", "Better Call Saul", and the movie "El Camino". They all really need the exposure. 😁

Yeah this finale is so cruel. Such a mean cliff hangar:(

Wow! And now we wait for season 2!!! 😮 I like your thought Sharpgirl of naming your cat manousos. I’m getting a golden retriever puppy this summer, maybe “Manou” would be a good name!

Sharpgirl

I already have noises started. ManuManumeow. Hola mí gato manouuuuuu However... The Web says... Manousos is a Greek masculine given name and surname, originating from the Venetian-Crete name Manuzio. It is associated with a clever, deep mind and the talent to excel in creative pursuits. In a cultural context, the name is also interpreted to mean "God is with us" and represents themes of non-assimilation, individuality, and resistance.

Next will be Ted, the talking bear hehe, and possibly some other mini series intertwined :)
