Hello everybody, something a little different for you here...

Apple released this little e-book the other day.

It's 13 different diary entries from Robert Sims, all written when Juliette was outside in Silo 17.

Not only does it show how his mindset changes, but also some brilliant details about sacred relics, and ones that may relate to Helen & Daniel.

An important note from me.

I've had a very rough cold all of this week, but still wanted to put this out, as I do feel this is very valuable for Silo enjoyers.

The audio is in no way perfect.

I simply did my best with the equipment I could put together at home. Please bare that in mind, this is my first time recording something like this.

I do really hope you enjoy it, and I'd love to hear your thoughts below.

You sounded great. You gave Robert much more emotional depth than Common does (LoLz). This was a lot of fun. Thank you, Claudie. Cheers!

Thank you thank you for doing this!! I was really wanting to read through this but I hate reading off a screen, paper or bust for me 🤣 Fascinating little read though, Sims is such an interesting character, and I really can't wait to see where the rest of the season takes him!

I’m definitely seeing the parallels to Severance, especially this season. The details might be different but both exploring memories as the core element of personhood is fascinating. Didn’t think of birthing cabins specifically. The audio was clear throughout. A solid first run for sure.

IMO - Each relic has been brought into the Silo bc they are meant to be triggers to counteract the effects of the memory drugs. Basically a life preserver someone is throwing to their potato self to tether them to their identity when they are rendered tabula rasa. Sounds like Helen wants to make sure to remember what the world looked like before the cataclysm, the man she loves and the fact that she is a mother. ETA: I'm guessing that Per Stenson and Dr. Crnkovich are colluding to wipe the memories of the entire Silo popolace exept for themselves and maybe a cuople others. Don't know whether the "founding residents" are there volntarily or not (as perhaps Stenson is the one that brought about the apocolypse for his own bizarre reasons). It would be impossible to get everyone to voluntarily assume every role required to keep the Silos functioning when they first enter. Not everyone would be willing to go from whatever life and title they had up top to working a menial position or becoming a manual laboror. A select few would not be wiped in order to organize personnel into its perpetual framework.

You're more than welcome! And yes I'm interested to see how Sims changes even more in the rest of S3, and maybe 4

Life preserver is such a good metaphor for it! Yes! Don't know whether the "founding residents" are there volntarily or not (as perhaps Stenson is the one that brought about the apocolypse for his own bizarre reasons) - that's a super interesting point hadn't thought about it like that!

It's so rewarding to find others that love this show as much as I do. Thank you Claudie! 🥰
