Thank god I live in Scotland. I can believe the English have to pay so much for water. It's included in our tax up here, a flat fee depending on income. I think I pay around 30 a month on council tax. That includes water, waste disposal and building maintenance.

I mean you know sealing the tunnel was right decision because you are seeing all sides. From Alister's perspective it was just Jon Snow's words (for a person who never saw giants or mammoths) so he didn't believe it. Also he had to be first commander in history who would seal the tunnel and that way gave up rangers duty (going outside of the wall to scout) for a very long time at the least. Also second guessing(his words) kind a right (not always of course), no matter what decision you make there will always be those who will doubt it...

It was Yggrette who shot Olly's dad. (Might have been his mom, but it was definitely one of his parents) So not only did Olly see a wilding drawing her bow at Jon, it was the same one who killed one of his parents. So that nod was, "I got your back and killed that bitch" Can't really blame the kid, he didn't know Jon and her had history, and she wasn't innocent. She killed plenty of defenceless villagers. She drew the line at kids, but that's it.

So this is one of the biggest pet peeves of mine. Your water bill isn't for the water itself. its the labor and infrastructure that is needed to clean it and have it flow into your house or apartment. Water falls from the sky and pools on the ground you can have as much as you want. but it you want it cleaned, heated and flowing in your house on demand. that requires labor, engineers and miles of piping and facility's.

nah, im with Don on this one. the privatization of that which is required for life shouldn't be a thing. if i am required to pay taxes to the government then the government should be required to provide the essentials for life: food, water, and shelter (which will be paid for with the taxes that i am again REQUIRED to pay to the government).

I never understood the change the showrunners made regarding sealing the tunnels because in the books Jon is staunchly against it because it cuts off the Watches ability to travel beyond the Wall and we see even if anyone makes it in to the tunnel its such a small breach point it would be like shooting fish in a barrel of they made it in. Odd choice.

Thorne may be a dick but it wasnt just a little cut he had, the entire side of his abdomen was sliced. Its lucky for him that it wasnt deep enough to puncture his liver and kill him instantly. He did his best to lead & fought on the frontlines and had to be literally dragged from the battlefield while shouting orders, he was a bit of a badass here Fuck Janos though, that guys a weasel
