Great story all around, but brother, why do you not call them Evan’s and Jameson when they speak to eachother. The amount of time I spend trying to figure out which “Harry” is speaking really takes me away from the story. Sometimes one is Evan’s sometimes only one is Jameson, sometimes they both go by Harry in the same scene. Other than that great job.

Oh c'mon Eleanor! Don't pretend like ya don't like to see Harry as TheSerpent again and not the neutered version of him that was around the last 10 or so years.

I understand it's not gonna happen. But i think it would be a really enjoyable read, to just have Evans and Jameson live their daily lives and see how horribly bad they are at being regular people, and see what they get up to

I love the pacing of this story. Nothing feels rushed, and it doesn't feel like it's taking long to get to the next segment. I'm surprised that Evans used some physical object to hit Rookwood, why not a nonverbal stupefy? Maybe there are wards in the DoM that I forgot being mentioned. Then again, not using a spell didn't help.

Tom and his merry band show up at the Potter Manor. War veterans all sitting around on the front lawn. “What took you so long?” Tom is confused. Lord Black proceeds to berate them for wasting their time, and then Tom‘s band of merry men ends up dead from elder abuse. That is, abuse from an elder war veteran on these idiots.

G.G.'s musings about Jameson and Evans are great! Even though they're actually 2 society-benefitting psychos 😆! I wonder what it means with Rookwood having access to a NOR-styled ward-bypassing disc.

I agree. Its such a simple thing, I cannot imagine you didnt run into this issue on reviewing or editing your writing.

I can't say I am a fan of how the DoM stuff has played out. Its not about the plot results, but HOW it happened. Just let Harry take out Rookwood en route (like a smart assassin would do) and then cut to show a scene later with lucius presenting the device to voldemort. I dont feel the happenings reflect what you have shown of the serpent thus far.
