I mean to be honest Charlus and his little gang should have expected and even anticipated something like potentially happening what with the getting involved in the war with tommyboy and all. Heck should have had some kind of secret family magic in place to warn them of Tommy showing up and evacuated their loved ones for safety sake especially then once they are safe worry about snake face. They all are a bit too arrogant from their past experience in the war with Gellert as it is to underestimate Tom. Heck with Cliff losing a daughter like he did would think he would know that as well that this is not the same person like Gellert.

Yea,during both Harry’s ORIGINAL timeline ,but has Dolohov even joined Tom yet? In his pov he never so much as thinks of Tom. He just thinks about dueling and his father . The only time his allegiance to Tom is even brought up (to my knowledge) was when Jameson said even with his allegiance to tom he was a worthy fighter and pushed him to his limits. I don’t know if it was mentioned earlier in the story about Dolohov’s allegiance,but it seems like Jameson just killed a skilled dueler because of what he might do in the future.
