Another one in the books for you. Next chapter will see a slight time skip, but nothing significant will be missed...

Anyone else feel like it might be nice if some of the grandfathers weren't the spitting image of their sons/grandsons? I resemble my grandad a bit but this whole lookalike thing seems a bit silly. Also, if Harry doesn't take a rooster with him just in case then he's not inherited any of Tom's brains.

Good chapter. One potential nitpick I noticed, though I may just be remembering incorrectly: for some reason I thought Harry told Dippet in an earlier chapter that he didn’t know if Charlie was his grandfather, and certainly didn’t know who his grandmother was.

You would be correct, but think of it more that hearing Dorea's name jogged his memory. You have to remember that when he saw the tapestry, it wasn't long after Arthur Weasley had been attacked so likely didn't pay too much attention to it, but good spot there

Great chapter, not going to lie I was fairly worried about how this would go once everyone was back to Hogwarts but this chapter silenced any issues. Great stuff from you Lee the transfiguration club is a great idea and I'd certainly like to see Harry and Minerva bounce off each other to improve through it. Great stuff cheers!

With all the other context, he also knows that no potter/black marriage had happened before, so it must be in this generation. He also knows Charlus is the only Potter currently, so is the only candidate to be his grandfather. Simple deduction would indicate these are his likely grandparents.

is it just me or are these chapters shorter than the woar ones were?

Lee McCusker (TheBlack'sResurgence)

At the moment they are, but I rarely do a word count. I end the chapter where it feels right to. It wouldn't make any sense adding more to a chapter if it is not needed or will interfere with the narrative in a negative way

Good chapter. It's nice seeing Harry and Minerva interacting with the other students. It seems obvious that Harry and Minerva were getting to know each other during the summer, but Harry's time with Dumbledore, Dippet, and the Flamels is what was driving the story during that timeframe, so it is good that their developing friendship is getting "screen time" now that school has stared. I'm sure you'll get plenty of reviews on FFN later that will claim that they should be snogging on the rug in front of the Common Room fireplace before the end of August. I think you made your point clear in WOAR that quick relationship development in these kind of stories are unrealistic. I tend to agree even more with this story. Even looking and acting younger, he still knew the older Deputy Headmistress much longer than he has known this version of Minerva. Then again, 16-year-old boys can rationalize quite a lot when it comes to 16-year-old girls. We'll see how mature you portray the two of them as their hormones become a factor.

I enjoyed the dose of slice of life moments here, though I am definitely looking forward to him beating Abraxas and putting him in his place
