And here is the next instalment for you guys...

Just a quick note from myself.

Tomorrow is the 1st of the month, so the membership will renew, and for those that have not enabled recurring billing, you will need to manually do this, if you wish to continue supporting me, of course.

As always, I truly am grateful for each and every one of you, and I know I have said it many times, but without you guys here, none of this would be possible, so thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Finally, I thought it would be useful to give you a little more guidance with where we are in the story so you can see where we are heading and how quickly we will get there.

1. After this chapter, there is only one more for sixth year.

2. There will be one chapter to cover the summer, and around 3 for seventh year.

After that, we will get more into the conflict, and in the upcoming chapters, you will get an idea of what Harry is going to be doing, and what role he will play until the war erupts, which I will not be delaying for long

There will be lots of battles, lots of Harry, Arcturus, and Charlus etc as promised and some pretty exciting things coming up in the next month.

I have decided that both the website will continue getting only one chapter a week until after Christmas to keep you guys here considerably ahead. Already, you are more than two months ahead so that gap will increase with your 2 chapters a week compared to their one.

FF.Net will continue getting one a fortnight until WOAR is completed on there.

Anyway, I have rambled enough, enjoy the chapter, and please do drop me a message with any questions you may have.

Your not so humble servant.

Great chapter!

Love it when you sprinkle in parts from your other stories! It is neat getting to see some stuff from Honour Thy Blood in here. I am really hoping you plan to have Harry fight alongside the other two in this during the war. We haven't gotten to really see what Harry is capable of in this story yet. So I hope it is at least comparable to your other versions of him. It feels like things are really starting to happen in the story and I am excited to see what happens next! As always thanks for writing and sharing it with us!

This chapter has the scene from "honour thy blood".... loved it...

I was hoping that you would use the Honour thy Blood scene when Charlus and Dorea met, i thought it was a great one to stay just in memory form, loved the chapter.

Dorea bumped into someone. The reaction of the adults wizards (over 17) was yelling and threatening (assault) and grabbing a fist full of hair and manhandling her (battery). I don't blame Harry and Charlus for not feeling guilty about putting 2 of them in the infirmary. Any boy that gets to 17 and thinks that it is acceptable behavior to treat a girl like that just because he is frustrated, needs to get his ass kicked.

Ondrej Mišo

Would it be different with a boy?

M.L.

No. You shouldn't treat anyone like that. And they did overreact. Do note however, that the story takes place about 90 years ago and sensibilities were quite different then. And Harry and Charlus both had emotional connections to Dorea.

It never fails dumbledore is a weak person, with a weak constitution and no real moral compass. Some people can be saved, not all. Some people need to be put down like the rabid dogs they are!

odzoo

Acceptable, no. Different, yes. As Axel indicated in the other reply, no one should be treated like that. However, it is different. We are discussing physical intimidation here and while people can pretend that there are no differences in physical strength between the typical human male and female, that doesn’t change the observable and measurable facts that significant differences in physical strength exist. I won’t assume that you believe that are no differences, but the question was a bit nonspecific. Some assuming was necessary to decide what “it” was, so my decision took my answer that direction. My apologies if it didn’t apply. Thank you for the interaction.

Nah mate, I was just being a bit picky thats all. Even though we could argue magic lessens the difference as a girl can be magically more powerful/skilled than a guy way easier than with physical stregth. In any case they were twats and got off easily. That jab at Dumbles is something I don't like seeing, because I prefer stories where he is actually reasonable and has a good relationship with Harry. HTB and SB would be good examples where the balance between his "naivety" and pragmatism was just right, this one feels like Dumbles is gonna be a fool, unless he gets a lesson.

odzoo

I completely agree that when it comes to the HP universe, magic can make a big difference. I would totally buy into a magically skilled and powerful 110 pound (50kg? I'm from the States) witch destroying 3 wizards almost twice her size if they didn't have her skill and power, when there is enough physical distance that her magic remains a factor. Regarding Dumbledore, I no longer have much of a preference for how he is portrayed in a fic as long as the story is well written. In this story I'm not sure if Dumbledore's behavior as Asst HM is for Harry to reconcile what he remembers of his permissive attitude as HM in Harry's past (in the future) or if it has to do with setting up decisions AB makes regarding the war and GG. I guess we shall see as the story progresses.

Durdens Wrath

Another amazing chapter and once again Dumbledore fails to provide Justice for the victims
