Madhuri's Outfit actually where really heavy. IT took three to four people to lift it. Saroj ji and Madhuri spoke about that. That was real gold on her Outfits and the jewellry as well

dang I saw you gave 5 stars on letterboxd after not loving it the first time.. i’m excited now!

AR04

So you were able to appreciate it even more after a rewatch, honestly you and Rick should give Sultan a second chance especially since you like Salman a lot more now.

kie

agree!

Reva

I agree.. i was watching their aging stars video and when they commented on Salman, i said it out loud - well you stopped one of his best movies 🫣

Laura Rotolo

I am Only watching Devdas over and over again because of Madhuri as Chandramuki and the songs ❤️❤️

Devdas is Shreya ghoshal’s debut album into film industry! Sanjay leela Bhansali gave her the break after listening to her in a reality singing show/competition She was only 16 and recorded music during her exams!

Me and Korbin going in different directions. I liked it far less than when it originally released!!

AR04

Not sure if you knew this Korbin but Jackie Shroff's role was actually first offered to Govinda and Manoj Bajpayee!

Reva

Btw, the story is based in the early 1900s. The entire premise is ego, jealousy and their consequences on love. The characters didn’t have the kind of agency we expect in the modern world. So reducing their choices to “they were dumb” felt like the movie itself wasn’t really understood.

Kaur

Exactly....

OMGG I USED TO PRAY FOR DAYS LIKE THIS MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED TYSMM

lucky45

Yea definitely recommend you guys to read devdas novel, I think u will appreciate the film a lot more

lucky45

Idk man if my gf was an actress i would rather somone giving a peck on the feet then kiss her on the lips.

lucky45

Devdas was not middle class tho he was rich

NM

It's been ages since I watched this, and now I've learned some surprising information through the opening credits: Vikramaditya Motwane is listed for both associate directing and sound design, and Shyam Kaushal was the action director. That's Vicky Kaushal's father.

NM

You might know this already, but Devdas was Shreya Ghoshal's debut as a playback singer. She was discovered by Bhansali at the age of 16, when she won a singing reality TV show. She was 18 when the movie released.

NM

The subtitles are unnecessarily complicated.

NM

You guys should watch the Only Desi revisit of Devdas. It's hilarious!

Tashi

The English subtitle translation is very poor.
