Hi folks,

I'm finally ready to launch my new project: Djinn's Pirate Deck!

I just need to finalise a few technical details, and then I'll tell you all about it. I want to develop project details with your help and some polls, so I'm going to set up a free private group to keep in constant contact with you. Which platform would you prefer?

Hey, I'll still continue to post exclusive contents and updates here for all my patrons!

Discord is going to shit next month, requiring face scan or ID for age verification next month. So no thanks.

It all depends on what you’re intending to share/talk about. From looking at their privacy policies and the new discord rules I have the following info/suggestions. As the majority of items that would likely be discussed are specific to digital artwork, FB allows this content, but restricts this to 18+. (So long as it’s art and clearly marked as such) FB has a lot of automated systems that can flag and cause issues sometimes requiring people to defend content, unless you setup the page very clearly/specifically. Discord is technically going to allow anything explicit/NSFW so long as it’s consenting 18+ people. BUT a mandatory pre-verification of persons being adults via government ID, image proof. Also a clear age restriction and identification of the NSFW content/channels/servers/etc will be required regardless of the context.

Yeah - my preference would have been for Discord but with the current changes coming down the pike I'd wait to see how they actually implement it. There's some talk from the Devs that there will be an algorithm that checks posting patterns and other user data to greenlight certain users so as to not need to supply the age certification stuff but until it goes live no one really knows what to expect. This might be a "wait and see what the options are a month from now." situation

I picked Discord, but I share the same worries as everyone else.
