I'm sensing a pattern with these episodes lately, Chris, and I'm loving it! I've personally been struggling a lot with finding peace lately, and the insight into games as a form of release and exploration from Friedrich and Maria was very heartwarming. I especially loved Maria's focus on how needing quiet reflection is the of utmost importance to righting/changing the world, and it put a new perspective (for me) on things like ad breaks and notifications. Even pausing a TV show nowadays shows an ad - your attention is being bought even when you're just getting up to pee I've been having a thought lately on the show as a whole, wanted to give at least one point of feedback. Recently, you've skipped act 3 "news of the week" for a number of episodes, to dive deeper and have more time for the full interview, and increasingly I'm finding myself rejoicing at no act 3. For me (again, can't speak for others), I come here for really insightful analysis and critique of games, the art of making games, engaging conversations with under-heard voices in the community, and how the industry is functioning as a whole - I don't come here for news of the week, necessarily. It's not a bad part of the show, it's just not the heavy hitting core of the show that I haven't sated anywhere else Anyways, great episode as always; excellent work on finding these incredible figures making incredible art
