CPC Behind the Scenes: Rejected Scenes / Ideas (NOT clean version) (Patreon)

Here is the second part of this "rejected scenes" post for those who are okay with slightly less all-ages friendly content. Please skip over this post if you’d prefer! I wish there was a way I could blur it haha. But as I mentioned last week, I did kinda end up censoring this a lot too (but I think it gets the idea across haha), so hopefully it's less awful for those who accidentally see it.

I was happy that a fair chunk of people actually preferred the clean language in Cursed Princess Club. In certain times, I feel restricted by it, but most of the time I like how it sort of puts a cap on how angry or serious anything can be in this story. 

But anyhow, I thought I’d share some various ways in which I sidestep some less family-friendly moments in CPC:

Unclean language

Most of the time it's, of course, bad language. Sometimes the first line that comes out of my head for a rough script is one that includes a swear. But they're mostly fairly easy to just rearrange or "downgrade" a word so that it’s not a swear.

Sometimes there are swear words that don't naturally have an equally funny, neutral counterpart. So that’s when I’ll usually just swerve into picking the most absurdly childish or old-timey line instead. That’s pretty fun to brainstorm.

Unclean imagery

Sometimes I’ll wanna put in some imagery that’s also questionably not family-friendly.

One example is that during the slumber party in ep. 21(?) with the pillow fight, Syrah throws a pillow at Saffron. Saffron’s cursed hand catches it and they high-five. But I also originally had the cursed hand flip Syrah off afterwards.

But that seemed a liiiittle excessive hahaha. Also, Saffron high-fiving himself was silly enough for that scene. ......I might still do this at some point later in the story though… let's see what my editor says...

I also just cut out a scene in this new season where I originally had someone doing a crotch chop, like straight up from 90's wrestling. That pose is so stupid and it makes me laugh a lot. But... yeah, that had to go too...!

Um, I kinda ended up cutting the rest of the things I was gonna share (I rejected the rejected ideas...), so that ppl don't end up shaking their heads in loathing. So my apologies, but you get the idea, I think, haha.
