TY EVERYONE WHO WATCHED THIS SHOW WITH ME. THIS SHOW MADE ME THINK SO MUCH ABOUT LIFE AND MY VALUES/IDEOLOGIES, AND IT PROVED THAT, IN THE END, THERE'S NOT REALLY A RIGHT CHOICE, JUST THE ONE WE MAKE... AND WE GOTTA ACCEPT WHAT COMES AFTER IT. THIS SHOW IS A GENERATIONAL MASTERPIECE, AND I THINK THIS IS MY FAVORITE SHOW SO FAR. 10/10.

Djejek

if you liked attack on titan i reccomend code geass!

Tenshi

I just rush the entire show for 3 days here, the perfect timing for finale. Masterpiece

Thanks for the reactions. Such a brilliant ending. PEAK 🙌

Do a reaction to some AOT explainers and AOT in 9 minutes on YouTube. There’s some good breakdowns on the show! I know there’s a few that everyone recommends usually

Amauri Hudson

You asked for a show like aot... trust me, watch Vinland saga, i think everybody can agree with me.

2026-10-07 23:00 It's sad to see this come to an end, I've been looking forward to the reactions every week since you started this show... A few thoughts from me: I think it's really funny that in that one scene where armin was standing over his own body and holding his "everyone is gonna die" speech he mentioned every name except the goat Levi because he didn't even consider Levi dying a possibility I think ymir had so much interst in Mikasa because they were in a similar situation, both of them loved someone so much that they would follow them no matter what and no matter how bad their actions where. But in the end Mikasa managed to face eren and do the right thing despite her love for him and ymir finally understood and and did the same, "killing" whatever inside her was still holding onto fritz and finally achieving freedom. I think the boy with the dog at the end most likely won't turn into a titan. Ymir was scared and about to die when she touched the "source of live" and she recieved the thing she needed most in that situation, the insanely strong power of titans. On the other hand, the boy seems happy and full of live, probably receiving something that fits his desires more than the power of titans. ALSO SUPER IMPORTSNT JEAN DID NOT MARRY MIKASE, ITS CONFIRMED THAT MIKASA STAYED SINGLE ALL THE WAY TO THE END Thanks for this journey ;))

how i see it the Ymir thing is that both Mikasa and Ymir had a toxic unconditional love towards their partners, and ymir couldn't make the right choice in her past, that would be to let king fritz take the consequence of his action and let him die from the spear while she lives with her childreans, while Mikasa did, despite what she felt she made the right choice in the end by killing Eren

great journey man, it was a pleasure rewatch with u

Lumi

The shield of Marley lost every fight, but as the shield of the world, he finished successfully.

Lumi

Yo the baby that everyone saved was voiced by Eren’s va’s kid And btw, if you remember the fight between Warhammer, the Warhammer said something after smashed eren titan's head, "Usurper, Eren Jaeger. Do you have any last words?" Then Eren, "Now or never, Mikasa. / Do it, Mikasa." That's kinda callback for his last words, if you put these words to present, it would be Eren encouraging Mikasa to fight for her freedom, and I think its possible that the author decided the ending a long time ago Anyways, "Do you have any last words?" -Lara Tybur's last words

Been watching every video release since start of season 1 and it's once again always a pleasure seeing someone experience this show for the first time! Seeing your perspectives and analysis has been so fun & interesting! Despite me having watched this show like probably 12 times your interpretations have given me even more insight into the depths of this show. Thank you for taking the time to truly engross yourself in AoT, it's been something I looked forward to seeing every week the past couple months and I wish you the best with your future endeavors! c:

Kaiju no.8 is a really good anime with a lot of similar points to aot except its alot more lighthearted and has more comedy honestly think youd like it alot

KaloPrince187

Thank you, DRK, for starting this anime. I really enjoyed watching your reactions to AoT. Since this is the end, this comment is going to be very long. 😭 I had never really watched anime before. I only watched Naruto as a little kid on TV, and that was pretty much it. I was stupid and closed-minded about giving anime a chance because I had this idea that it was all hentai, furries, tentacles, femboys, etc... 😂 In 2023, I randomly decided to give anime a try, and I picked the absolute GOAT among anime. I completely fell in love with AoT. I swear to God, I had never seen a better show, anime, or movie in my life. I never would have imagined that a story could be written and told this fucking well. AoT was the first anime I really started watching, and it will always be my TOP 1. It's the best thing I've ever watched. It literally opened the door to an entirely new medium for me and made me realize how fucking amazing anime can be. I've watched the entire AoT series so many times that I've honestly lost count, and I swear that every single time I rewatch it, I notice some new detail, symbolism, reference, etc... The foreshadowing, soundtrack, characters, story and storytelling, mystery, action and animation — everything is absolutely phenomenal. Isayama is honestly like the modern Mozart, Leonardo da Vinci, Shakespeare... 🙏 xd Just like that conversation between Zeke and Armin, where they talk about how life is about the moments that make you happy, the entire story of AoT is one of those moments for me that makes me think, "Wow, I'm glad I'm alive and that I got to experience something like this." It sounds corny, but I genuinely feel that way because I still remember the feelings I had when I watched this for the first time. Since AoT has so many symbols, references, and pieces of foreshadowing, it would be a huge shame if you never rewatched the entire thing again. You genuinely won't regret it. Now that you've finally finished the whole thing, I wanted to write down some of the easter eggs, foreshadowing, etc. from the finale. (THIS ISN'T EVEN CLOSE TO ALL OF THEM!) These are just some things I remembered and quickly found here and there, because I would 100% forget a lot of important stuff: * The parallel between Mikasa and Founder Ymir: Mikasa did what Ymir couldn't do — kill the person she loved to be liberated from "the curse." Once Ymir witnessed it, she was finally free, and we could see her with her children in one frame instead of with King Fritz, who had a spear through him. Eren figured this out. (That's why Eren said Mikasa is the one who freed Ymir) * A lot of people thought Eren weeping to Armin was "out of character," but we know that was the real Eren. He didn't have to put on the act anymore since Armin was going to remember it after Eren's death. * Eren admitting that if anyone else had this kind of power, the outcome wouldn't be the same. He realizes that this was the only outcome because he is "an idiot who got his hands on power." This sums up Eren perfectly. He "did it for himself" because HE wanted his friends to live long lives, HE wanted a free world that wasn't occupied, and HE wanted the power of the Titans to vanish. HE was disappointed that humanity outside the walls was alive. * Ymir and the boy with the dog enter the "tree" in completely different circumstances. Ymir was filled with hate and rage, and was in a life-or-death situation. She turned herself into an immortal monster out of necessity. The boy with the dog was wandering around exploring happily. He goes on to live peacefully for years and years after the nukes are dropped. * Eren never saw the shell Armin found when they first made it to the sea. He never looked back. He was too busy thinking, "If we kill all our enemies, will we finally be free?" while looking out into the distance. He was obsessed with the idea of an unoccupied, free world that he didn't notice the beauty right next to him. 💔 * Armin is the narrator telling everyone on Paradis this entire story. * A great callback to S1E5, when Eren said something along the lines of "I would never die inside a Titan's mouth" when he was almost chewed up by Santa Titan. Of course, Isayama knew that he would eventually die inside a Titan's mouth. --- **THESE ONES REALLY HURT🙏:** * At the beginning, the manga starts with Mikasa's "See you later, Eren." When Eren wakes up, he asks Mikasa, "When did your hair get so long?" In the last part of the dream he had, Mikasa had short hair (final episode). The genius Isayama planted these foreshadowing details and references everywhere. * Mikasa is always seen as perfect from Eren's POV. Isayama said that whenever Eren is looking at Mikasa, he always tries to draw her perfectly. You can notice it in this final episode too. Before Mikasa swung her sword at Eren's head, she had a dirty face, but in the reflection of Eren's eyes, we can see Mikasa's face clean, beautiful... perfect. 💔💔💔 * Eren and Mikasa spent 4 years living together in Paths peacefully. It was a gift given to her by Eren... and only when he "passed away" there was she able to kill him in the real world. 💔💔💔💔 * Eren didn't open his eyes during the Rumbling. He only opened his eyes in his last breath just to see Mikasa one last time. 💔💔💔 * Mikasa wrote, "Here forever rest peacefully, my most beloved, my dear. 854" on Eren's grave. The first two times Mikasa visits Eren's grave, she puts four roses, which means nothing will come between two people who love each other but cannot be together / tragic love. The last time she put one rose, which means "you are still THE one." 💔💔💔💔💔 * A white flower was placed when she died, which symbolizes purity and virginity. So, taken together, Mikasa's flowers send the message that she won't forget Eren, she still loves him (but believes he can no longer love her back), she will remain devoted to him, and she is waiting. 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔 (So Mikasa never moved on and always stayed loyal to Eren, and even got buried next to him.) * In the ending credits, where Eren and Mikasa were buried, an old Armin still visited their graves. He was the last to die of the trio, just like when they were kids running to the tree, he was the last one to reach the tree. 💔 * And the last one... It is believed that the bird that last wrapped the scarf around Mikasa's head was a bird known by its Japanese name, the "Tohzoku Kamome." Also, the English name of this bird is "Pomarine Jaeger" (implying it's Eren and he's finally free). * The last song you hear is sung by Mikasa's voice actor. Eren's voice actor is in it too.♥️ Eren and Mikasa have the most beautiful and tragic love story without any romance in it. 🙏 If you actually read all that, you're a GOAT🐐 and you have a big di—... what? 💀 P.S. I still hate Annie just like my guy Levi 🫡

Yo

Yo. Well, it’s over. Now, both re zero and aot, my top 2 favorite shows, are done. I said a lot of what I wanted to say already in my comment on the re zero finale, but I want to say that these reactions truly have been something I’ve looked forward to. I also tried to make informative comments on this series on most reactions ever since I started watching around early season 2. I hope they’ve at least been useful for some lol I loved this realistic conclusion to the story where all of Eren’s actions truly didn’t amount to much in the end. In the far future, war still existed and another person was going to be handed power like Ymir. This is the ending a lot of people didn’t like because it can feel like everything didn’t matter. However, I feel like those people don’t understand what the show is trying to portray and the themes it’s supposed to convey. This ending of an endless cycle fits the show so well, and I think people need to understand that. Armin’s dialogue with zeke is one of my favorites in the show. It actually gave me a different perspective on life and its meaning beyond just “living” and reproducing. If this was the only purpose of life, why do we still feel joy in the small moments that give no benefit to reproducing? Such a beautiful message. My other favorite dialogue was with eren and armin later. Eren explains how this all happens, simply because he was an idiot. This was the only outcome because he was an idiot, so he couldn’t change it. He also was disappointed by the outside world because he expected an uninhabited, mystical place like what admin showed him, but instead found more of the same people and sins like at home. In a dark, twisted and gruesome way, he actually wanted to see it flattened. And because armin also felt similar in his own way and he was the one to put these thoughts into eren’s head, he said he’ll be going to hell with him. Amazing scene with perfect ost. The reason why Ymir wanted to see mikasa kill eren in the end was because she wanted her suffering to end by seeing her do what she couldn’t do: kill the man she was obsessed with. In Ymir’s case, it was king Fritz and she could never let go for 2000 years. In mikasa’s case, it was eren, but she was able to let this love not stop her from killing him. That, in the end, was why Ymir was following mikasa. The scene where mikasa kills eren has some hidden details. The entire time eren was doing the rumbling, he had his eyes closed in the titan. The first time he opened his eyes was to see mikasa for the last time as he died. At this point, we see mikasa bruised and dirty, but if you look at her reflection in eren’s eyes, she’s perfectly clean. This shows how he viewed her in his last moments. The scene where the marleyans were about to shoot the eldians after this was a direct callback to when eren, mikasa, and armin were first about to be shot back in season 1 when they found out eren was a titan. Just like back then, armin steps up and uses his words to make everyone back down and trust them. In the credits after mikasa dies, we see a final shot of an older armin visiting their graves for the last time. so eren died first, then mikasa, and then armin was the last to die. This is just like when they were racing to the tree. Eren got there first, then mikasa, and then armin was always lagging behind, just like how he now was the last to die. I also want to complement Levi’s character and his ending with both zeke and the rest of the scouts who gave their lives up to that point. Him and Erwin are both in my top 3 characters for sure. As you said, this whole story has been from Armin’s perspective. Specifically, when armin was telling everyone on paradis about their story (what they were headed to do at the end). It’s crazy that the entire thing has been Armin’s own memories this whole time. Such an amazing series. I hate that it’s all over now. No other show made has made feel the way this one has, especially this finale. I’ll still be watching and commenting on some other shows probably (frieren and I want to start mushoku tensei with you), but the era of AOT and re zero is now over😔 its been great, but I’m excited to see what the future holds 🔥 Faze gabi never misses💔

TY FOR WATCHING DRK!! IT WAS REALLY FUN, I LOVE THIS SHOW!

Fluboxer

Yknow, Eren in first episodes wanted to kill all the titans, remember? He did it. After that convoluted scheme titans became no more, along with centuries of peace

DRK Discovers

BRO WHY WOULD THEY SHOW THAT AT THE END THO THAT WAS LITERALLY JEAN MIKASA AND A KID OR AM I CRAZY W comment!

DRK Discovers

W comment as always u made me apreciate this show even more somehow, these details are so good specially eren opening his eyes to see mikasa 😭

DRK Discovers

bro wtf this is crazy this comment dedass made me cry wtf these details are so fucking good... this show is a masterpiece what the fuck

KaloPrince187

Yeah, I’m telling you, this show is unreal with all the foreshadowing and details. It’s really insane. If you ever rewatch it someday, you’ll notice so many things you couldn’t notice the first time. 😂🙏 I can’t believe Isayama was fucking 19 when he started writing this. He had the entire story figured out and always knew what the ending would be. When he was asked by a fan, “What character do you relate to the most?”, he answered Eren, because just like Eren, he couldn’t change the ending even though he wanted to. (Eren literally manipulated Isayama himself hahah💀🥀)

Adam Nuraiman
