Jasnah

I’ll give it a week before I start sharing spoilers, but about the characters, Diego… well.. Shit.. Harry is really growing on me, and Lucas is always adorable. When we reach the arena, things shift hard. The start is a lot of fun, but the ending gets really intense. And no matter how much your heart tells you to go down that hallway, DON'T DO IT!! It’s a deadly trap. You will regret it!!!!

Jasnah

And yeah… I’ll talk about Matt next week.

Luhnaire

For now, I'll keep the spoilers to a minimum, like Jasnah did. I played through the patch too, and let's just say I felt like shit when I spoke with Matt, and Harry really grew on me via his story with Diego. I'd be happy to call him my best bro, now :p Also, I still love Diego. He's really someone I enjoy being around, and our talk in this patch was really emotional. I loved this part. Lucas is also growing on me, but not like Harry. I could very well picture me having a crush on someone like him. He's so nice to have around.

a bit shorter than expected, but understandable considering this update is more of an Art Revamp

I really, really enjoy the interactivity in this game. The subtlety of seeing Harry's expression go from stressed to genuinely excited during the dancing minigame (200 COINS BABY!!) made me wave my "wholesome" flag. Something that I find a bit difficult is unlocking more pathways and getting different story beats. I'm trying to unlock all 13 artworks for Diego, but I've only gone through six. I've been trying to take different options, but to no avail. Are some of the artworks just incredibly difficult to get to? In any case, this has been a gem of a game to enjoy during the holidays!!

Diego... my baby. Oh my god. I can't believe he got through what he did and can still stand up. That he can still fight and smile. I can't even imagine. It's got me I guess morbidly curious if we'll be able to expand on Ren's past a bit more outside of Matt. Of course I choose Harry for the dance and support him through it. I wouldn't have cared if we won with him. (Also, if anyone has trouble with memory, like I do because of brain issues, you can tab out and write it in a text editor of your choice/use pen and paper, and as far as I know the moves are set 100% and don't change up.) Matt... heh. You burned my bridge, you jerk. I hate that overprotective shtick, unless there's good reason behind it (like Diego and Harry standing up for me when I mock Adrian every time... oh yeah guess Matt is there too, but he doesn't accept that I'll bite back when someone makes really shitty comments about people, so meh, doesn't feel as good coming from him). I love that he made me feel genuine anger and disgust at his actions and things he said. While it *felt* shorter, the content was packed with a lot of backstory, so that's fine I think? I really gotta see if I can get my Harry on. Off to play some more. Still my favorite dating sim of all time; feels like it's shaping up to be like Arcade Spirits, with a ton of content, but... even better than it, because, I dunno, while AS has a lot of great personality choices, who you choose as a romance really just feels like "this character gets inserted into this scene". I mean, not entirely, because sometimes they speak up, and you do learn more about them, but not to the degree Trueclash does.

Busy busy couple of days so it will be a short one, haven't fully explored but had to say: had some friends over and we got TC on the big screen for some Disco Pantheeeer babyyyy. It was hilariously chaotic, utter madness and desperation while we tried to follow along. Super fun! Loved the fight intro and the way you handle images, the hover thing is chef's kiss. That talk to Diego just broke my heart multiple ways. The way you used the darkness just felt heavier and more intense. I was feeling all that isolation and loneliness.. my poor Diego, just felt like giving him a real hug. Like Luhnaire, Harry reaction and bringing the light back 🥺❤️ how can someone not like that man. Protect him at all costs! We all need friends like that ❤️ I'll do an update when I get to explore further, wasn't able to speak with Matt but I expect he won't surprise me.... Also (sorry, this is just all scrambled up) i was grinning like a devil when i thought i could pass as Adrian and maybe lock him out of his fight. I don't know.... this game is bringing up an evil side I wasn't (fully) aware 😂 Hope you had a lovely christmas 🎄

The dancing mini game was fun. I only played it once, so not sure if it was random but a good way to earn coins. Interface wise, I am not sure if it was just me but I had problems with the save as I could not close the keyboard for some reason which prevents me from confirming the save as a normal keyboard blocks the confirm button. Switching to floating keyboard helps. Edit: I am playing on android (pad). Lastly, I am more and more against Matt. I really hope we can break the team after the first day at the arena.

This has been my favorite update yet! The dancing minigame felt like a first date with (sober) Harry, and all the antics with him, Lucas and Mafalda were genuinely refreshing :D Followed up by the emotional punch of the fight intro, I’m really looking forward to seeing how that dynamic unfolds and to snap Matt out of his craziness 😭

Love the dancing mini game. And the face-off when standing with Matt was so intense.

Okey, this is going to be long lmao, sorry beforehand if something is weird writing, I literally use Google Translate cause aint no way my brain could translate everything on their own. Okay, about the new update: Honestly, I was expecting the fight, so when it didn't happen, I thought I'd be disappointed, but surprise, that wasn't the case. The minigame was incredibly fun. I spent more time than I'd like to admit watching the characters' different reactions when they reached the final or won the minigame (OH MY GOD, WHY IS LUCAS SO ADORABLE???????) The drama with Matt is both serious and ironically funny. It's the kind of problem that when it happens, you see it as incredibly serious, but after a few years or when you tell other people about it, you realize it wasn't such a big deal after all. If Matt is acting like this now, I don't even want to imagine how he'll act when he finds out MC was in a band (if he chose that route) LMAOO What I see in all this isn't Matt's hatred towards Diego, but rather a way (and practically the only way) Matt has of releasing the pressure valve that his life has become lately. For Matt, sport is his hobby, his job, and his philosophy of life. This means he can't relax for a moment. Sport, which for normal people is a way to relax and forget their problems, for Matt is instead the embodiment of those problems, expectations, and pressures (like the dojo). If we add to that the fact that he's not an extrovert with many friends beyond MC (with whom we can see he has several clashes regarding methodology, which increases this stress), it means he has no one and nothing with which to relieve his stress. So he does the only thing he can do at that moment: seek a sacrifice. Matt, in turn, seems to be someone who places a lot of emphasis on justice, ideals, and being "the good guy." I don't think his own moral compass would allow him to explode at just anyone (much less MC), so he ends up directing all these frustrations at someone he believes is bad, someone immoral, and therefore, shouldn't feel bad about carrying that burden on him. That's where Diego comes in, but anyway, I'm getting off topic. Narratively, this episode doesn't seem to have much, but it's actually quite packed. We get to see a bit more of Harry's inferiority complex, how Diego is a good guy at heart, and how kind best girl Mafalda is (I love how Harry doesn't know how to act around her; maybe it's because Mafalda treats everyone with a kindness Harry isn't used to?). Getting back to the minigame, I quite enjoyed it, and personally, I love it when games (even visual novels) are a bit more proactive, not just in terms of options (which you definitely get, wow, so many options!), but also with these kinds of minigames, or even when the sex scenes aren't just about reading; you can touch different parts of the body and get different reactions, you can guide the scene by making it faster or slower, choosing positions, etc. However, I encountered a small bug when I was trying the minigame without teaming up with anyone (i cant publish pic, but i will do it on the itchio page) Well, in conclusion, thank you so much for all your work! I can't wait to see more of this game!

Linus

I love this game so far! I was wondering if there will be a way to know if you've missed scenes? I can't figure out if Harry has a more private scene in chapter 2 yet or not (kinda like Diego does)

I noticed a perhaps typo in the first convo with Lize at the bar. It asks if she is Okey instead of Okay? Is that correct/meant to be there?! :D
