This is the best thing on YouTube!!! Hope everyone is having a good christmas season so far! We have our tree up and are slowly buying new ornaments ( I left all mine in the US 😭)

We are so happy our channel has evolved to British content! We've been missing out on Karl and Ricky this entire time! We have so much to catch up on...one video at a time I suppose.

Cheers everyone!

The traditional British Christmas Roast is considered Turkey, but for many people it could be beef, lamb, ham, chicken or goose etc. Although it's not the same, the closest comparison is your Thanksgiving meal.

Gotta check out Karl Pilkington reacts to Brokeback Mountain 😂

Turkey has long been the traditional Christmas meat, ham isn’t a much a thing as it is in the US, it used to be goose You have an Only Fools Christmas episode coming up at the end of series 1

Greg and Lisa React_Official

aaah, we figured that's what it was closest to in the US. So it's called a Roast but you can make almost anything. Got it! ~ Lisa

Turkey is big on Thanksgiving in the US. Ham is big on Christmas. Oh...and goose? I don't think I've ever had that. Yes! We'll be recording that Only Fools Christmas episode next week. Greg

Absolutely, “Turkey Day” and all that, and we don’t really have hams in the UK as they exist in the US. Well that’s not strictly true but it’s definitely not associated with any time of the year. Goose is nice, and three bird roast Christmas dinner is something that’s become more common over the past few years - that can be pheasant, duck and turkey, sometimes chicken instead of pheasant. Because of the vast cultural exports from the US we tend to be a bit more familiar with US customs etc than those in the US are with ours or elsewhere so we have a slightly unfair advantage. I’ve spent the last 20 years spending a fair bit of time around the US (mostly Indiana, Tennessee and Washington for extended periods but have spent time in lots of other states). My other half is from Georgia too.

Oh wow some Karl content I've never even seen 😲 thank you! A Christmas Carol did originate from the UK, it was written by Charles Dickens, one of our greatest novelists 👍🏻

Greg and Lisa React_Official

Oh cool! So glad we were able to bring you something you haven't seen! I thought so! I LOVE ALL the Carol versions. There is a cool one that's a little more dark on Netflix, I Think. FX's A Christmas Carol. ~ Lisa

Love Karls kind of childlike innocence and honesty.
